These headphones are not the best I've ever used. I am disappointed with the quality of the sound. They are difficult to tune in so there is no static. I would suggest trying out wireless headphones at a local outlet before ordering online. They are a little heavy on the head and not very comfortable. This is not a reflection on the vendor ... just the product.

Do not buy anything from this company!!!.......2007-04-05

I had the unit for 5 months. It worked well enough for what I was doing (listening to sports radio at work). One day the included rechargable batteries melted. I called AR. They said no problem, send it back for a replacement. I did just that (cost $10 out of my pocket to ship). Better than having to buy a new one I figured. Got one back in a beat up opened box with no rechargable batteries included (as they should be).

Called again hoping for a quick conversation (something like the unit you sent did not have batteries, can you send some? "yea, sure, we'll get those right in the mail") Instead I got the biggest moron at the company that can get the problem. As I type, I'm still on the phone with her. We are going on 30 minutes now. Now I'm just curious to see where this is going and that's the only thing keeping me on the phone. She can't be this stupid, right?

My co-worker got the Zeinhausser (sp?) which has been much better. Do yourself a favor and spend the extra $10 and get that one.

I had real high hopes for these headphones after reading the product description but boy was I in for a big surprise.

The sound quality is only good enough for TV. Music is impossible to listen to. 95% of the time I can't get the sound out of both sides of the set regardless of how much fiddling I do with the dial. I can sit in the same room, just 15 feet away, and I get static, clicking and hissing and no dynamic range whatsoever. If I move around and/or turn my head the sound will fade in and out. It does transmit through walls as claimed and the sound doesn't degrade any when I'm 100 ft away or so, but since the quality is so substandard to start with - what's the point? I tried to return them after a few weeks but I bought them online and the seller wouldn't take a return so I've been stuck with them.

One final item is the plastic covering on the earpieces. After just a month it started flaking off leaving small black specks on my ears. Now that I've had them for about a year the covering is completely gone leaving the foam completely exposed.

I really like the idea of wireless headphones and I hope that I just got one of the lemons that occasionally happen but after reading some of the other reviews, my experiences don't sound all that different. I'm looking to find some that work as advertised but after being burned so bad with this pair I'm reluctant to try again.

If you are looking for affordable headphones for your TV viewing/listening, I'd go with these. The rechargeable batteries are a big plus. There can be slight interference with these sometimes. Still, I highly recommend them.

First I have to say I have ten thumbs IM 63 and technology is a puzzle BUT.. Someone should tell you not all TV'S come with headphone plugs. So after I hooked it up I found out that audio out goes to an amplifier not to a headphone. So after crying to my wife I went to Radio Shack and found they sell something called a headphone amplifier for $30.00. This converts your audio out to headphones. The amazing thing is it worked. Now there are batteries in the phones and in the amplifier. But I must say it works. Two things, the claim that this will work at 300ft must be in an open field, by the time I got to the kitchen the sound was nothing but a soft hiss (only 40 FT). Two, no matter how I adjust fine tune there is always a soft hiss sound. If your like me you will be annoyed. On the good side, my wife and I are taking again as I'm deaf, and she has bionic ears. Peace in the bedroom once more. You can buy much better, I think!
