Elegant and unimposing, Sony's 5-watts-per-channel SRS-A205 powered speakers will spruce up your desktop while giving new life to your PC music, games, and movies. The compact pair stands less than 9 inches tall yet boasts impressive bass response thanks to their bass-reflex (ported) design and Mega-Bass circuit, which can be activated according to preference or music selection. Each speaker uses a 2.6-inch cone woofer protected behind a black grille.

The SRS-A205s' silver finish matches many portable electronic devices. A pair of stereo analog inputs (.125-inch minijack) accept feeds from both your PC and/or your MP3 player, CD player, or other audio device. (Use a "Y" adapter cable, minijack to left/right RCA, not included, for hooking up standard hi-fi components.)

The speakers are video shielded to prevent image distortion when placed in close proximity to a TV or computer monitor. Two front-panel knobs control power and volume, and the speakers come with their own AC power adapter.
