Built on aperture grille technology, LaCie electronblue monitors feature a naturally-flat CRT - both vertically and horizontally. This flatness reduces eye strain and undesirable reflection and shadow are reduced to almost nothing by the addition of the unique blue frame and the LaCie color-enhancing hood. Built on aperture grille technology, electronblue monitors feature a naturally-flat CRT - both vertically and horizontally. This flat- ness reduces eye strain as it reduces the focus distance difference between each point of the screen and the users eyes. Undesirable reflection and shadow are reduced to almost nothing by the addition of the unique blue frame and the LaCie color-enhancing hood (black inside). A shadow mask monitor is shaped like a section of a large sphere, causing a "fisheye" distortion to the image. A conventional aperture grille monitor is like a small section of a cylinder. This results in less vertical distortion, but horizontal distortion remains.
