Yes this unit is all that they say and works great. But my unit got lost in the mail. It finally arrived 4 weeks later. So much for Amazon's free shipping. It is really annoying waiting for something to ship every day not having it arrive. I'll pay for UPS shipping from now on and skip the aggravation.

Before buying the Plantronics Voyager 510 I read all the reviews I could find. After what some people said, I was a little apprehensive when I finally ordered it. But my apprehension was unwarranted. I've been using it for a week now and it has completely changed my attitude towards my cell phone (which I used to hate). The sound quality is terrific--just like talking to the person face-to-face. And I can hear perfectly even when I'm in the car and the radio is playing. The person I'm talking to can hear me when I'm talking in a normal voice and I've been told that the sound quality is as good as an old fashioned wired phone (remember those?). Unlike one of the other reviewers here, I don't find the on/off button to be located in an awkward place. In fact, all of the controls seem to be well-located. I love the voice-dialing feature, which lets me call someone in my phone book without having to fumble with my phone. (Your phone has to have this capability for it to work, but most newer phones do.) If you'd like to be able to do other things while talking on the phone, get one of these. You won't regret it!

I purchased the Plantronics Voyager 510 bluetooth headset because my husband had one and raved about it. I'm more than pleased! It stays on my ear securely and after a very short while, I forget I'm even wearing it. Voice clarity is also good. The on/off button is kind of small and stiff, but that's my only negative.

This unit always synchs up and works perfectly. Every time. Comfortable and good volume, easy to adjust and end calls. No hassles. Strong battery life. More subtle with much of it behind the ear, definitely not as goofy looking as the star-trek-look devices with bright LED's and ear hardware. (I think there should be a law that if you wear ONE of those, you have to wear TWO, thus identifying yourself as a hopeless techno-geek.)

I bought this head set after all of the great reviews I read but I've had nothing but problems. The unit doesn't hold a charge through one average length phone call. I found it difficult to keep the unit in my ear while talking. The Ear piece is so bulky that I could not wear glasses or sunglasses while using it. I have wasted my money on this product.

This product is easy to used and sit comfortably on your arm. It helps protect your ipod especially during intense excercises. I had a bit of a problem placing the screen protector without having bubbles on the film which prevents visibility. Overall, this product is worth the buck when looking for ipod accesories.

When I put my Nano in the sleeve it is very difficult to operate the hold switch on the top of the Nano.

There is a screen protector and it is a nice idea but I have not been able to get the label sticker completely off of the screen protector so there's a portion of the screen I cannot see clearly.

I don't have any problem with operating the arm strap, but that's about the only thing I like.

Best quality and value for your buck........2007-07-01

I did a lot of research before buying this FM Transmitter. I didn't want to spend a lot of money but I wanted something that would work well. After several weeks, I finally settled on this one and I couldn't be happier. For $38, this way outperforms my friend's more expensive model. I get much less static than she does and the music comes through very clear. I highly recommend this product. There are a couple drawbacks that haven't bothered me but I could see how they could annoy others. First, the transmitter is very quiet so the car radio needs to be turned up pretty high to get the volume I am used to. (Another customer says this produces static: If you play with the volume on the actual iPOD and balance it out with the radio volume, you can get rid of the static sound completely.) The other problem is that the chord is extremely LONG and kind of gets in the way if you don't drape it down the side of your center console.

Also, for those of you who may be wary about not having a dock to set it in, I would recommend that you do what I do. I bought a little cell phone holder from Target for $5 and hooked it onto my air conditioner vent and set my iPOD in that. I think it's even better than the dock because it doesn't get in the way of my air conditioner/stereo controls.

I bought this product because I was going on a long road trip and the only CD player in the car was one of those 6 disc changers in the back. I wanted to load all my music on an ipod and not worry about trying to change CDs. As many reviewers have stated a direct connection to the stereo is best but very impractical. If the car has a stock stereo then a audio in line would have to be installed some how and cost way more than it would be worth. Unless an ipod is a must have to the tune of a couple hundred dollars I would stick with a FM transmitter. The FM transmitter works fine even on stations that have a pretty loud background. Once the ipod is turned on and the music starts the background is replaced with surprisingly clear sound. Serious audiophiles who say the sound quality sucks probably don't have factory speakers and are willing to put way to much money into the quality of their music in the car. We used the itrip in a Mercedes 320 with a Bose sound system and it sounded great. The ipod charging feature is a must, any FM transmitter without one will drain the battery of an ipod very quickly and will be worthless on longer drives.

At first, I read some reviews of this product and it seemed almost like a 50/50 chance I'd get what I wanted out of it. (What I wanted being the ability to play my songs on my ipod through my car stereo) And that's what this gave me! There is absolutely NO interference from what I've heard so far. I play this on 87.9 FM station and it comes in just as if I were playing it through headphones or on my computer through iTunes. This was definitely a well-worth-it purchase for me. I use this to and from work and on long trips and it's worked wonderfully. I can't think of ANY issues with this product. If you want to play your iPod tunes through your car stereo and want to charge and don't want to spend a whole lot of money all at the same time, then this is what you need.

Much improved over the previous version. Works flawlessly. My only problem is not associated with the device. You sometimes have to reset the Cigarette Lighter plug into the socket in order to get a good power connection, depending on age and condition of the Lighter socket.

If you have a newer iPod and travel a lot...........2007-07-01

I guess its just another way for Apple to make more money, but with the newer generation iPods they don't include a wall adapter like they used to with the older generation iPods. So, if you travel a lot and don't have a car when you travel or a laptop, then the best thing for you is this adapter. That way you can still use your iPod all you want for your entire trip.

Does Its Job, But Why the Extra Cost?.......2007-06-20

This iPod AC adapter does its job well; it charges my iPod safely like it's supposed to. What I don't understand is why Apple no longer packages an AC adapter with their iPods. Well, actually I do understand why: $$$$$. When I bought my 4th generation iPod two years ago, it included an AC adapter. Thankfully I kept that adapter so I personally don't have to buy another one (this one is for my girlfriend). $30 for a simple adapter is ridiculous.

One nice thing about this item is that it does give you an additional USB wire so that you can leave your iPod's original wire with your computer, and not have to use it with the adapter since the adapter has its own. I wouldn't go with a non-Apple charger just to be safe, but man, Apple is getting a deal out of this product.

Just bought this for my daughter's new Ipod. Works great. Don't have to worry about being near a USB port; just plug it in. Easier for us to remember to charge the Ipod. More flexibility than having a cable hanging off the laptop all of the time.

Can't Beat This Unit For The Money.......2007-06-27

Took me 5 minutes to unpack and set it up in our car ( we've also used it in our truck). Pulled out of the garage and let it lock in "home" and then put in the address we were going to in another town several hours away. It guided us right to the front door with no wrong turns, no problems, easy to hear and see. Same results on the second trip in the truck to our sons new home in a community we had never been to before. This is a great little unit.

A friend of mine had one of these and showed it to me and I was hooked. I bought mine a day later. I love it! It works very well and it is simple to use. We are going on a long road trip later this summer and are looking forward to using it for that. I am a social worker who visits people at home all the time and it's very useful for that as well. I would recommend this to anyone who travels a lot.

bought two, one died hard after one usage.......2007-06-27

i trusted Garmin but this is really a very terrible experience with c330. My friend asked me to buy two for him and one died hard after only one usage: we tried reset button, we tried different ways of powering it up. But it completely died. have to return it for full refund. So for people planning to invest in c330, be careful and test yours once receiving it to make sure it works reliably and you can meet the 30-day return deadline if it does not work.

I was surprisingly delighted at my purchase of the Garmin StreetPilot c330 which I really believe has already paid for itself through real time saved & stress free journeys. Having not grown up in Boston, it obviously takes quite some time to familiarise myself with everything - now whilst I remember, at least if I don't - I'll still get there on time!! All-in-all, a great buy.

Just when you thought Garmin had cornered the market on powerful, affordable, and effective wrist-mounted GPS devices, here comes the Forerunner 305. The release of this device is a major achievement from a design and technology perspective. This isn't just marketing-speak; the Forerunner 305 is the most accurate, most reliable wrist-mounted performance and GPS tracking tool we've ever tested. Yes, it's that good. While no device this compact can do everything (yet), the 305 pushes the boundaries of what is possible from something strapped around your wrist. The 305 model includes wireless heartrate monitoring and it can also be connected to Garmin's wireless bicycle speed and cadence sensor. If you don't need these features, consider the lower-priced Forerunner 205.

Design
The 305's design is a radical departure from Garmin's previous generation of wrist mounted GPS devices, which reached a pinnacle with the Garmin Forerunner 301. While the 301 delivered accurate heart rate monitoring, good performance tracking, and decent GPS reception, it didn't quite deliver in the design department. The form factor was bulky and wearing it wasn't much different than duct taping a full-sized GPS device to your wrist.

Not so with the 305. Garmin's engineers obviously burned the midnight oil and have come up with a waterproof design that, while certainly not as small as a sports watch, feels just as comfortable. The curved casing allows the unit's antenna to face the sky when you're running, while the widescreen display is perfectly positioned for viewing when you need it. And the display certainly deserves a few kudos. While it's smaller than the display found on previous Forerunners, its resolution is far higher, offering incredible clarity and crispness.

Garmin has smartly given the 305 a simple button layout and the buttons have a nice tactile feel with good pressure response. The right side houses the menu selection and enter buttons, while the left houses a power/backlight button and a mode button. This simple and elegant solution is a big improvement over the sometimes confusing button functionality of previous Forerunners. View button layout.

The underside of the 305 is pretty nondescript, except for a row of contacts that interface with the included charging and data cradle. The cradle is small and unobtrusive and its single mini-USB port connects to either an included AC adapter, or a USB cable that connects to your PC. In addition to data transfer with the USB cable, you can also charge the 305's embedded lithium-ion battery via a powered USB connection from your computer.

GPS Performance
The big news about the Forerunner 305 is that it features an integrated, high-sensitivity SiRFstar III GPS receiver. What does this mean? It means that the 305's ability to both track, and maintain a lock on, your position is better than anything before it. After an intial battery charge, the tester had the 305 on his wrist and was tracking speed and distance with GPS satellites within 3 minutes. The next time we used the 305, satellite acquisition was nearly instantaneous. A run through dense trees didn't faze the unit either; tracking remained true and steady. Performance on a bike was equally impressive. Whatever witchcraft has been cooked up by the designers of the SiRF technology, we like it!

The simple docking cradle makes charging and data connectivity a snap.

While the Forerunner 305 isn't billed as a GPS navigation device, it does have some rudimentary mapping, waypoint marking, and routing capabilities. In addition to marking locations along your journey, you can zoom in or out of a simple map that displays your current direction and path. There's also a "go to location" feature that routes you back to your starting location, or to any location you have defined. Once you have defined several locations, you can save this information as a route, allowing you to travel the same path in the future. As you'll see below, the 305's new "Courses" feature gives you new levels of control over how you define your favorite runs and rides.

Training Functions
The 305 is first and foremost a training tool, and its ability to organize a ton of data types into a user experience that is intuitive and simple is no small feat. Whiz-bang technology aside, if you can't use it and make it a natural part of your exercise routine, it's worthless. When it comes to these factors -- and here's the take home message on the 305 -- this device is successful where many other devices fail.

The heart and soul of the 305 can be found on the data screens, which give you real-time information about all aspects of your workout. In fact, the 305 can display a dizzying array of data, such as calories burned, distance, elevation, grade, and heading, as well as multiple lap and pace modes. The 305 adds the ability to track heartrate, lap heartrate, average heartrate, and heartrate zones via the included coded heartrate chest strap. With the purchase of a separate wireless cadence and speed meter, you can also track bike performance data.

Thankfully, the device makes it easy to define how much or how little data you want to view during a workout. You can arrange the data that's most important to you and then make that data appear front and center on the device. Indeed, within a few minutes of skimming the manual and fiddling with the device setup, you'll have your most important data displaying just the way you like it. The ability to display heartrate is a big plus, too, as it's a fairly good indicator of excercise output, fatigue, and fitness level. The 305 has all the heartrate functions you'd expect from a full-function monitor, including the ability to set target zones and alerts to maximize the effectiveness of your workouts.

Garmin's Virtual Partner function was cool feature of previous Forerunners and they've decided to keep a good thing going with the 305. If you're the type that performs best when you've got a competitor egging you on, you'll love this function, as it allows you to set up virtual running or biking companions that compete against you.

If you're looking for an complicated workout with a variety of intervals and intensity levels, or just a quick three-mile jog against your best time last week, the 305 has you covered. Navigating to the Workouts menu on the device yields three options: Quick Workouts, Interval, and Advanced Workout. A quick workout is just that; set the distance and time, distance and pace, or time and pace of your planned workout and off you go. Interval workouts are just the same, but they allow you to add repetitions and rest between them. When you really want to get fancy with your exercise, you can step up to advanced workouts, which include goals for each workout step, as well as varied distances, times, and rest periods. You can use the Garmin Training Center software to set up these workouts and then upload them to the device.

PC Connectivity and Software
Garmin has been outfitting their devices with USB connectivity for some time now -- a welcome move for those who struggled with serial port connections in the days of yore. Thanks to USB, the 305 integrates seamlessly with the Training Center software and we quickly had workout history uploaded and stored on the PC (Sadly, Training Center is not Mac-compatible). Not only does Training Center make it easy to track your performance, you can graph data such as heartrate alongside your speed and distance. Over time, this is a great way to view your fitness levels increase, and it also helps you see what types of workouts are necessary to strengthen your weaknesses. For instance, if you see your heartrate begin to spike after a certain distance, you know you need to increase your endurance workouts to train that area of fitness.

In a first for the Forerunner series, the Training Center software also lets you define courses on your PC that you can upload to the device. When course information is combined with uploaded workout information, the Forerunner becomes a complete guide, telling you where to go, when to make a turn, and what kind of workout to do when you're on the road or path. Back on the PC, the software's ability to overlay workout data on maps of the course makes it easy to see where the course offers up the tough hills and the easy recovery spots. Plus, the ability to track historical performance on a given course is a great way to measure your improvement.

The 305 is also fully compatible with Garmin's MotionBased service, which takes your training to another level by connecting your data with the Internet. While we weren't able to use the service, the promise of sharing courses, maps, workouts, and performance data with other users is intriguing. And if you're a serious endurance athlete, you'll be glad to know that the 305 is also compatible with TrainingPeaks.com, an easy-to-use web based training system designed to help athletes train for any event.

I've been running daily with this unit for over two months (25-30 Miles/wk.), and I just think this is a great product. Two points about me; I'm pretty tough on equipment, and I'm pretty anal about things working correctly. You know the type... Well with that said, my only wish-for would be better battery life. I get about a week to a week and a half between charges. For the outstanding quality and accuracy of this unit, the battery life is not an issue. You won't be unhappy with product, it's great!

What can I say? It is all that was promised. It comes with two wrist bands for big guys like me with large wrists and a petite band for woman or girly men. The heart rate is a little small on the watch, not a complaint from me but someone with less than average eye sight may have a problem.

I really have no major complaints especially when taken in combination with the online Motionbased service, but since most people are looking for the negatives in deciding whether to buy, here they are:

1. elevation tracking is very bad. In my case it is off about 25% or so. You have to expect this to some extent given that GPS units don't do well at measuring altitude: its all in the math. If you wnat good altitude measuring, get a GPS unit with a barometric altimeter. LUCKILY, however, motionbased will correct for altitude errors and give you a much more accurate measurement (although I have not verified the accuracy).

2. The calorie burned readings seem to be high BUT I personally don't care. Calorie readings from any device are only estimates and probably never should be relied upon except to gauge the relative intensity of two events as logged on the same device.

OK, the good:

For me the GPS function is amazing: I can lock on 5 or sats in my home and when outside I typically lock on 7 or more for estimated positional accuracy of +-14-18 ft. Overall, for a tyical 3-4 mile run, the unit is about 98-99% correct at least according to the motionbased correction.

The unit is big but does not bother yu when worn. IF you run, and love gadgets, this thing is for you.

I bought the product before I went on vacation to Europe on an organized bike trip. Other than one day of human error (forgot to set it that day), I have the maps and my performance (poor unfortunately) on the roads.

I am inspired to get in better shape and go places just to see how I am doing and where I've been!!

Garmin Nuvi 660.......2007-07-03

Got this for my wife as a replacement for the built in GPS system in the Honda Pilot we traded in. She confesses to being a bit technophobic and was really looking for an easy device to use.

So far the Garmin fits the bill with the relatively intuitive touch screens. Our one gripe though we expected it was the relatively small screen size but really like the portability of the device so it can be hand carried or transferred to our other vehicle.

One suggestion for the manufacturer is to align the travel direction on the screen along the long axis (width) of the screen (the screen is wider than it is tall). Wish they could make this feature user-adjustable.

Garmin Nuvi 660.......2007-06-27

This is a wonderful GPS for car and pocket. We just came back from a 3,000 mile road trip where the Garmin was in constant use. Not only did it provide great, clear directions but we were able to enjoy audio books as well, making this one of the best long driving trips we've done.

Love this thing. It has changed my life. I first tried out the GPS system in LA after being in NYC for 7 years and not driving. It saved me and my job. It's perfect for California driving. A few weeks ago we went to Maine and the Garmin was able to find the nearest Lobster Pounds and Micro Breweries. My family fell in love with it. If you travel and you drive - get one. Also love the MP3 feature. I suggest playing "Holiday Road" non stop... Recalculating....

Am traveling as I write this and the Garmin is directing as we go. Excellent unit. Only FM tranmitter could be a bit stronger. Highly recomment it.

The Nuvi 660 GPS has the largest screen for a portable. The cell phone Blue Tooth technology is the smartest thing I have seen yet. This unit is well worth the money......

I bought this product to send to my son in Brazil for his camera. He said he is very pleased with it and it works fine. I thought I paid an excellent price for it compared with buying it from a regular retail store such as Fry's. The shipping was fast, it arriving within a week. The big drawback was, that since I declared what was in the packet when I mailed it to my son, he was required to pay almost $100 import duty on it in Brazil. It might have been cheaper for him to buy it there!
