Be Careful About Erroneous Information ... .......2006-09-01

Before I purchased, I did research by checking the specs for the "BG 9-12 60" on the batterygeek website. For this product, it stated a maximum draw of 4.0A. With this in mind, I purchased the product. When I received it, the information on the back of the unit stated a max of 2.5A. I submitted a question to customer support (FYI, Batterygeek does not have a telephone number listed on their website for after-sale customer support). The response was that the unit currently supports 2.5A but engineers are working on a new version that supports 4.0A.

They have corrected their website information for this product, but I wonder how many other customers have been mislead in a similar fashion?

I have asked customer support to contact me, but thus far no response over the phone or in writing. I may be waiting for a very long time.

Like another reviewer wrote: "WHAT CUSTOMER SUPPORT?".

It seems once they sell you something, getting Customer Support is hard to get. It would be great to have a toll-free customer support phone number!

I'm very happy with my dvd battery pack purchase from batterygeek.net. I'm getting a fantastic amount of run time. Also, I like how thier batteries are so lightweight and portable.

Full details are in the review below (it's long so I haven't copied it here. but in a nutshell, the wrong battery sent (supposedly larger but I get less runtime than promised), no responses to emails and inconsistent behavior of the battery all make me concerned for my investment if I have any kind of true failure.
I definitely don't recommend BatteryGeek the company.

I'm getting about 6+ hours of run time per charge with my portable DVD player. Not too bad. Also, I received it in the mail only 2 days after I ordered it. Not too bad either.

I'd love to rate this battery but unfortunately I still have not received my "ultra fast, same day shipping" item. It's been 2 weeks and I still can not get anyone in customer service. You have to call the sales number and they then send an email to customer service, which no-one ever replies to. Gotta love THAT customer service.

I was looking for 12V High capacity Universal DVD Battery & Charger.
I made a little research and bump into that online store.
Since I wasn't sure what product is suitable for my needs, I've contacted their Customer Support via Email. I've got an immediate response, with detailed explanations of their products. I was able to choose one, placed an order and got a FedEx tracking number one hour later! The battery shipped on the same day and I received it 3 days later.
They will ship you around 8 different jacks connector, but I had a special connector that was missing. That seems to have a very quick resolution. I've sent another email and got a promptly response. They shipped me a FedEx package without any charge on the same day. I received dozens of connectors, and the product is working great.

Highly recommended !

Dimensions, Weight & Run Time.......2005-10-09

It is about the size of a deck of cards, just slightly thicker. It weighs about the same as a 12 ounce can of soda. I tested it on my 12V portable DVD player with an 8" screen and was able to get 5.5 hours of continious run time per charge. I'm sure if I had a 9V portable DVD player I would be getting closer to 6+ hours of run time per charge. So far, I am very satisfied with this battery.
