The system includes a pair of three-way bass reflex speakers, each with a 7.88-inch cone woofer, 2-inch cone midrange, and 0.81-inch dome tweeter. The combined audio oomph fills up a room, and gives equal attention to high, mid, and low frequencies. The system's audio sources trace to the three-disc CD carousel (compatible with CD, CD-R/RW, and MP3 formats), the AM/FM tuner (30 FM and 15 AM presets), and the dual dubbing cassette deck. The latter component features full-logic controls for superior performance and the coordinating capacity of CD synchro recording (ensures that recorded tapes synch up to their CD sources).
The system also offers play exchange; a programmable wakeup and sleep timer; a demo mode; Compu play; continuous, random, and repeat play for one or all three discs; and a rotary encoder volume control. The listener has the choice of several individual music modes--one each for pop, rock, and classic--and can choose the RhythMax tone booster for added audio vigor.
