I got this "device" because the mouse that came with the Mac, well, it was just crazy to use that crazy thing. I was under the impression, for whatever reason or reasons, that Belkin was way better than everyone put together, simply because Belkin costed almost as much as everyone else put together. Don't misunderstand me, this "device" works as intended. However, it is not as heavy as the Logitech and by comparison has a kind of cheap feel to it. Other than that, it has worked perfectly.

A Great and Inexpensive Optical Mouse.......2007-05-20

I didn't install the software but my computer recognized the mouse right away. Later on, I installed the software and found out that it allowed me to assign a function to the scroll-wheel button (e.g., pressing it to open my default browser).

I also found out this optical mouse can "travel" much longer than my old Kensington optical mouse (with the same travel distance of my hand holding the mouse). Also, the scroll wheel is smoother and and more sensitive than my old mouse as well. Because this new mouse is so inexpensive, I am going to get another one to replace the old one for my another PC.

Great price for a basic optical mouse. My OS recognized it immediately, so I didn't even need to install the included software. Works just as well as the expensive ones.

First of all, this mouse has life-time warranty from Belkin, dollface (what a silly reviewer).

Second of all, I've used it for 2.5 years now and never had a problem. In fact, it's so sturdy and simple I wanted to beat it up to ruin it so as to have a reason to buy a fancier one. I failed. You can smash it against the floor and nothing would fall off. I figure it's meant to be. Get it, it's good.

I teach as a computer teacher. I bought one of these for me, then got one for my graphic computer. That was 6 months ago now I'm going to place one on all 25 computers and replace those dreaded ball mice. Previous reviewer obviously had user error involved or merely one bad mouse which can happen. Mine have worked FLAWLESSLY and for the price this is the best optical going.
