This product is pretty good for the price. It was very easy to set up and does what I want it (hold digital media for multiple computer and Xbox access) to well.

I set it up so that it directly connected to my wireless router, and intended to access the drive via 802.11g from my wife's and mine laptops. As I was moving files to the machine, the wireless transfer was pretty slow and the connection dropped out intermittently. I lost patience and connected the laptops directly to the router (and after some mildly irritating drive connection issues) the transfer was much smoother and faster. The wireless connection strength was fine, but I was only getting about 10kbit from 3 feet away. The wired provided between 100kbits and 300kbits. I recommend transfering large amounts of data over a wired connection.

I tested the connection speed by playing a video on my TV via Xbox (WMC) and the speed was fine to keep the (SD) video running smoothly. Music was also fine.
