Want to keep information secure, even after it's left your home or office? A personal shredder may be just the assistant you're looking for, and the Shredstik is a sturdy little trooper. The all-steel blades are tough enough to handle the occasional staple or small paper clip, while the three-sheet capacity makes fast work of overflowing files.

The Shredstik balances well on a variety of small to medium wastebaskets, and it is just heavy enough that it's sure to stay in place. A slim design--just 3 inches wide--makes it easy to store in a desk drawer when not in use. The one drawback is the noise level--while not overpowering, the heavy-duty blades send up enough sound to interrupt any nearby conversation.

The included adapter has a long cord that easily stretches across a standard cubicle or office so you can shred wherever is most convenient. The impressive five-year warranty covers the cutting mechanism only, but the solidly built plastic cover can withstand more than its share of abuse. This shredder is as advertized by Amazon.com. It came well protected in its shipping box and was easy to set up on an existing waste basket by adjusting the sliding member. Shredding of documents takes place effortlessly and the noise level is reasonable. Good product for the money.
