The best purchase I've made in the last year........2003-02-12

I absolutely LOVE this monitor. It's extremely light, easy to set up, and saves so much space. I was a bit suspicious because it was so inexpensive, but it completely does the job. Other people have mentioned that their text shows up fuzzy. Not saying that they're wrong of course, but I haven't experienced that at all. Some flat panels I've seen are actually kind of heavy and clumsy. Not so with this one...

Bright, clear, sharp, and true........2003-01-02

As with all LCD monitors, this analog unit saves space and generates far less heat than a CRT. It is a practical, straightforward monitor. It produces a bright, clear, and sharp image (as long as you keep it on its native resolution of 1024x768). The screen is viewable from far-wide left and right. The display on the 570V appears to have a viewing area equal to my Nokia 17" CRT. The 570V is easy to use, having an auto menu that includes screen calibration.

I did have problem, though. After about 3 months, a single-pixel vertical line appeared from top to bottom about three inches from the left. Samsung technical support was extremely responsive. They sent another unit within a few days. All I had to do was to send the original back in the same packaging. The replacement was a refurbished model that appeared brand new. Only catch was that the replacement has a 1-year warranty; the original had a 3-year warranty. The replacement has been flawless since getting it about 4 months ago.

Excellent Product.......2002-07-28

I work for a medical office and am in charge of purchasing all computer equipment. I am always out looking for a good deal. Recently, we made the decision to start replacing all of our existing CRT's with LCD's when the existing CRT's go bad. I recently purchased 3 Samsung 570V's and was so impressed I have ordered 2 more to have on hand for replacements. If Amazon keeps this product at this price, I plan on buying 20 to put in our new office under construction. The space saving feature is excellent in a business setting where desk space is always at a premium. I have purchased other LCD's at about the same price but from a no name manufacturer. Out of 7 purchased, I had to send 5 back immediately because they didn't even work when we received them. Samsung is a great product and at a great price. Thank you Amazon.com!

Samsung 570v 15".......2002-07-23

This is an excellent monitor which is all the more remarkable given its price. I chose the free shipping offer on Amazon and wound up paying [item price]. Make sure you use it in native mode 1024x768 or else you'll be disappointed. (This is true of all of the LCD monitors.) ... a good job by Samsung.

Great Monitor!!.......2002-07-20

Here's a quick note to say how pleased I am with this monitor. I have two large Mitsubishi 2060u's--generally considered among the best in crt monitors--but I needed one more open space for a stock scanner, so I thought this would work. This monitor in some repects makes the CRTs look pale by comparison. Text is crisper, blacks are deep and colors are generally quite accurate; very vibrant monitor. No hint of jitter. The monitor also has a feel of quality about it, unlike some competitors. Very stable, well designed stand. Nice cables included. Response time is very good as well. I would not hesitate to purchase this monitor again.
