Nice monitor, great price.......2007-03-04

I am very pleased with my purchase of this monitor. The price was lower than most other 17in monitors. The image quality is nice. It has more buttons than you would expect to find on a monitor, but as you will probably only use them the day you set the monitor up you won't care. Sound quality is okay - obviously if you want good sound you should never buy built-in speakers. I have this monitor sitting right next to my old Dell 15in flat pannel, and I must say the improvement is vast.

This is a pretty good monitor and looks good although I wasn't that impressed with the built-in speaker system. It's not the ideal monitor for gaming and dvd movies as it tends to be just too dark for certain games. Go figure. I think I"ll stick to CRT's for a while.
For multi-tasking it is a great monitor however (like if you want to surf the internet, or do word processing). Excellent colors/resolution, etc...

Very Good, LOVE IT!.......2006-06-20

Ok so I got this monitor as a birthday present about 11 months ago... It was not at all what I expected. The screen is HUGE, and I have yet to have to do any maitenence on it. It is amazing for games. I can say so as I play css, cod2, q4, ut2004, AA, Halo, and HL:DM. It has no noticable difference from my former CRT, (except that the crt was a 15') It is definatly the biggest at the LAN partys. That's about it... one minus, the speakers aren't amazing, but I use a headset for sound anyway...

FujiPlus 988D Flat Panel been very good so far........2006-03-29

I received the monitor back in September 2005 and it has been great. I find it clear, text is easily read, colors are very good, and with a ATI 128MB 9800 graphics card, it has been real good for gaming, such as EQ2, Asherons Call. I don't have any problem with refresh, except possibly a couple of times in those raided dungeons where all hell is breaking loose...:), but that could be just the graphic card itself.

I don't use the sound on it, as I have a complete soundboard in my studio with mixers, reference monitors and such, but this monitor is very quiet and just nice.. I really like it. I am tempted to make it 5 stars, but I never go that high.

However, FujiPlus has been having a problem honoring their rebates. I submitted mine in September and we're a week away from April and still haven't received it. I've left phone messages cause I've never been able to contact a live person there, and still no response. Best course of action, from what I've been reading, is contact the vendor from where you purchased the monitor and be firm with them, to act in your behalf. Apparently there are people who've been waiting since July and haven't received a rebate check yet. Others have filed complaints with the BBB with no success. Just be aware it's possible you may not be getting that $90 back.

Nice display but...........2006-02-25

Its a nice large display. Pleasant design. I bought this unit because it has a .264 pixel size for my graphics work. BUT the high contrast is a major problem!! Can't really use it for pro work... sigh!!! The adjustment to reduce the contrast is not sufficient!

Don't trust Fujiplus.......2006-02-19

The monitor is pretty good, but build quality is low - let's face it, it's a cheap chinese product. I've had 2 and they tend to fail after a short amount of time and the power supply buzzes.

This manufacturer cannot be trusted, and they don't pay their rebates.

This monitor is sweet, bright clear picture, big screen but small footprint, has better picture quality than most monitors, relatively lightweight and all this at such a low price! By the way absolutely no ghosting.
CONS: Dingy speakers, very weak did not matter to me though how much sound do you expect from 1 inch speakers, I have speakers & a subwoofer however you can hear basic speech through them. No labels on buttons, but after using it twice you get used to it & last placement of the speaker jack, it took me 5 mins to find it & only after turning the monitor upside down
Overall I rate this monitor very high because of value for money & the excellent picture quality which was what I bought it for anyway

I have been waiting literally for years for 19 inch LCD monitors to fall in price to the $300 range. Finally it has happened. This KDS 19 inch monitor compares very well in every way to units that cost double its approximately $270 pricetag.

This unit performs well both for playing DVD movies or for heavy-duty text and graphics applications. I use a graphics package for trial work that mainly involves viewing scanned documents. A poor monitor simply would not work for this application. The KDS monitor handles the scanned documents magnificently, and its 1280 x 1024 resolution is stunning. This is a really nice tool.

The unit performs well for viewing DVD movies. The colors are bright and vivid, and the contrast is good. I did not adjust any settings away from the original factory settings. This unit truly is plug and play, as far as I am concerned. Most users will want to set it on the maximum 1280 x 1024 resolution setting in Windows XP properties menu.

I am mainly using this monitor as a separate monitor for my Notebook computer, enabling me to have the aforementioned scanned documents on one screen (the KDS monitor) and Microsoft Word on the Notebook's own monitor.

Installation was simplicity itself under Windows XP. I simply plugged the KDS unit into the Notebook, and went to the display setting in Windows. Windows had already recognized the KDS unit, and one simply configures it as an extension of the desktop on the properties setting. It took all of 30 seconds and worked perfectly the first time with no rebooting.

This unit proves that 19 inch monitors are finally becoming priced within the range of most of us. About time!
