With its generous viewing area and USB powered hub, the V1000 is a solid choice for advanced business users who need a 21-inch display at a business budget price. This monitor supports flicker-free operation from 1600x1200 to 640x480 resolution at 85Hz refresh. The full 20-inch viewable area screen with fine .26mm dot pitch has an anti-reflective, anti-static coating for less dust buildup and high-contrast images. The V1000 supports the new Universal Serial Bus (USB) passthrough to connect USB keyboard, mouse, or other USB devices into the monitor. Compaq designed the V1000's shape to minimize its desktop footprint and to prevent cable clutter. This innovative cable concealment design allows the display to be placed flush against a partition wall, as the cables plug up vertically. The onscreen display, with convenient three-button operation, uses an illustrated approach for easy and precise picture adjustments, including color level, color temperature, tilt, zoom, and geometry controls. The V1000 supports Colorific software to match colors onscreen to prints from a color printer. Compaq's monitors are optimized to run on Compaq CPUs, but are also suitable for other branded computer systems.
