Very easily set up, works great, and doesn't slow down your computer at all. Two people can be on the internet at the same time with no lag whatsoever. Great product.

as long as what you need is a switch (takes an ip address from a router and shares it among multiple devices) and not a router, this thing is perfect. It is the only networking device I've ever set up based solely on the picture on the back of the box. It took longer to unpack than to get set up. I have two different computers at work and only one network jack, so I put the network feed into the switch and cabled in the two computers. Works great and no performance issues at all. Love it.

ROUTER NEEDED.......2007-03-31

I gave this item 3 stars because it does what its supposed to do but NOT what I and most likely you want it to. You cannot connect two computers, at the same time, to the internet with this device. You need a router. Printer sharing and file sharing didnt work either. Two calls to Linksys tech support and my own personal attempt to make it work add up to strike three.. Unless you have a complicated set up, it basically does nothing.
Forget this thing and suck it up and get a router, sure routers are a pain
but they do what you want. This doesnt. A friend of mine wants it so he's getting a very early xmas present this year.

Works just as it should. This is actually the second one I buy. I have used my other one for about 2 years now and still works great. Never had any problems. You just plug it in and thats it.
