The Barricade supports various protocols such as TCP/IP and NetBeui, while also providing support for VPN connections with PPTP, L2TP, and IPSec passthrough SMCBR18VPN's Stateful Packet Inspection Firewall provides a high level of security against Denial of Service (DoS) attacks. The SPI firewall analyzes each individual data packet as it passes through the SMCBR18VPN and ensures that only authorized packets can access the local network. It also provides Access Control based on a pre-defined scheduled time, IP address filtering, and Mac Address Filtering. To protect your family, parents can also block certain websites by entering either a URL address or just a keyword of the website. In addition, SMCBR18VPN provides hacker attacker prevention and logging functionalities. When hackers attempt to enter your network, you can even be alerted by email!
