The ROUTERmate-EX multi-protocol router is ideal for leased line and frame relay internetworking applications. ROUTERmate-EX is part of a family of ROUTERmate products. These products permit a practical and economical network of routers, CSU/DSUs (56K, 64K, T1, and Drop and Insert), ISDN terminal adapters, and other LAN/WAN devices under a single SNMP management platform.ROUTERmate-EX routes IP and IPX/SPX. All other popular LAN net- work protocols are supported in a bridged mode. Frame relay and PPP wide area net- work protocols are supported at link speeds up to T1. Unnumbered links and RIPv2 provide IP address conservation and flexible subnetting. ROUTERmate-EX provides user-friendly, menu-driven configuration and management screens. Support for SNMP, Telnet, Flash, TFTP, BOOTp, and async terminal control set the standard for management flexibility in this price range. An optional, built-in V.32 dial-up modem is available to provide remote terminal management. Network administrators or service providers can remotely control all aspects of ROUTERmate-EX regardless of the primary path's condition. Standalone and rack mount units supporting V.35, RS-530 and RS-232 interfaces are available. Rack-mount models install easily into a ROUTERmate MinRack.
