Who wants a peice of Microsoft History?.......2007-06-28
Just having this card in my machine get's rid of the bad Juju and promotes healthy microsoft edicate. I hope Microsoft makes a note book and workstation since there hardware is what works with microsoft software. Thanks again. Hope to see more microsoft in my machine. You know what? I don't even care if something comes out with a faster connection. I would not sell my card right now, and I don't think it would be fare to look at anything faster, I would probably mess up my brain. Besides, I don't remeber asking for anything faster when I first had a computer, and when the speed addicts find my machine again I know it will get stolen. But there's always the Microsoft lawsuits that come after that. I hope this set's everything straight.
Simple Success!.......2006-05-23
I've been using 2 MN-730s with a MN-700 base station for several years with NO problems or quirks whatsoever. With the limited availability of these Microsoft hardware items lately, I've been forced to install other wireless cards (Belkin, Linksys, etc..) in the new PCs we've purchased. Without exception, the Microsoft wireless products are far easier to use and much more reliable in our experience, to any of the other products.
Covers the distance I need.......2005-02-16
When searching for a adapter I had trouble finding reviews that talked about how they performed over a extended distance, this one is working great so far, I'm using the mn730 with a linksys wireless G router that is about 350 feet away in a seperate house and although it indicates my signal strength is very low most of the time, I have no problems with the connection (with no additional antennas), i took a speed test and it reports I have about 800k downstream bandwidth, plenty enough for me. installation is simple, just make sure to watch out for static electricity.
Great Deal!!.......2004-12-22
Microsoft is getting out of the network hardware market, you'll find great deals on this stuff. I have 3 of these (got for $15 each), using them on Windows ME and XP (SP2) without any problems. They work with my Netgear WGR614v4 router and I have SBC Yahoo DSL. It's true that XP won't find/load a driver for card, but just load up MSBN from the CD or downloaded from MS site, then delete MSBN, you don't need it with XP. My kids are surfing and IMing all day long, no loss connections, no drop outs, no problems, extremely stable product.
