Best option for old powerbook.......2007-06-30

My old lombard G3 powerbook, now almost 9 years old, got a second wind with this card. All I had to do was upgrade to the latest system this machine can take (10.3.9), and it is now wirelessly networking. It took a couple of emails to customer support to find an update, but it was quick an easy.

Piece o' Cake!.......2007-05-29

This card is truly amazing. I've been having horrible reception problems w/ my Airport Extreme card in my Powerbook G4 15" and finally realized that it was just the card. Because the Airport card I had in my iBook G4 14" had superior reception than the Powerbook by far. I began to wonder, "What's so 'extreme' about this wireless card?!?!?" So, I ditched it and picked up an Aria Extreme card from Amazon. When I finally got it... i simply plugged it in and my computer recognized it instantly. The wireless PC card icon appears in the toolbar on the top right next to the "internet connect" icon. I'm picking up soooo many wireless links. The reception is 4x better than the stock AirportExtreme card. What a joke...

One thing I do recommend, though, is removing your PC card from your notebook. Otherwise, a grey screen will appear asking you to reboot your computer. But I've heard of stuff like this before, kinda like if you don't eject certain icons (electronic equipment connected to your computer via USB) from your desktop, you'll get the same message.

But anyway, I know a good amount about computers and I highly recommend this wireless card for you Mac users. You won't regret it...

Just what I was looking for.......2007-03-24

I bought this wireless card for my old G3 Lombard. After updating my airport software, this card hopped right onto my home network. Haven't had any problems since installing a few months ago. The ease of installation made this card worth the few extra dollars.

Like my mac, it just works.......2006-07-14

I bought the Aria for my G3 Lombard Powerbook running 10.3.9. It's flawless. I have had a number of wireless cards for this machines and all were a bit buggy or flimsy. Not this Sonnett. It went in, showed up, and stays there. Also it it much more solid in construction. Great price, easy setup, and reliability. Just like my mac :)

works great with the older powerbook i put it in - kind of pricy, but i'd recommend it.
