Furthermore, the WL-140 can be mounted on a wall or ceiling and includes a wall mounting kit. It is fully compatible with other 802.11 b products and all ASUS SpaceLink products. The WL-140 allows end-users to spread their 802.11b network over a longer distance. Greater signal strength provides maximum wireless network speed with a longer reach. It also provides a better range for hidden computers. Because desktop computers are often hidden underneath desks or in enclosed computer rooms, onboard adapter cards are usually shielded from radio signals. The WL-140's Range Extender can be placed further from the computer to get around this problem.
