nimble product.......2007-06-27
misplaced the original charger so looked for a replacement and found this charger on Amazon. Have had it for a month and am happy with its performance overall. product is light/small and yet charge up my cell phone as fast as the original charger. would recommend this charger to others.
Not genuine, but it works fine.......2007-06-21
I find it ironic that the Motorola "authenticity" link is featured on this item's listing, yet it is clearly not an authentic Motorola product(but a very close copy). I compared it side-by-side with my colleague's genuine Motorola charger, and this one lacked the clarity of printing on the labels (non-etched, etc.) that the real article had. Nonetheless, it charges fine thus far, folds up just as small, has a nice long cable, and is about 10% of the cost of the genuine article. So I'm not unhappy with it, as long as it functions well and doesn't slag either my phone or battery.
don't bother.......2007-06-20
I first ordered this because it was cheap. Now I know why. The first time I ordered, the charger never came. I contact the seller and they did send another one out, which didn't work. Not worth the hassle. Just get a charger from a reliable company.
Not what I wanted, but...........2007-06-09
I was looking for a USB charging cable that I could use to charge my phone from my work PC, the way the iPod connector works. When I saw Mini USB (unhyphenated - I thought this meant "small USB") and since it didn't say this was an A/C adapter, I figured they were just showing the wrong picture.
Well, it's not USB, and it is an A/C plug-in, but it's just as good and certainly worth the price. And I don't even know if there is such a thing as a USB cable for charging a RAZR.
Now I can Charge my Phone.......2007-06-05
Cheap phone charger for people who are suffering with low batteries in their phone

Unable to set up my router.......2007-06-26
I bought the Lynksys Router and was unable to set up my wireless network. This couldn't have been more confusing.
good as paid.......2007-06-20
very good and great in price the range i can get signal from over 200-400m i don't know how.... i am hacking on over 4 wireless networking hehehe... very good one try it
This model is outdated, try the newer version.......2007-06-19
This model is outdated. In my home, it gets half the range and signal strength of the newer model. Go for the new SRX400 version model WUSB54GX4. It's got better signal strength and range because of the MIMO technology. Works with all flavors of Wireless B & G including SRX200, SRX400, and standard G. Here's the link: Linksys Wireless-G USB Network Adapter with SRX400 (WUSB54GX4)
Works Great.......2007-06-13
Picks up the signal effortlessly. I Don't even need to buy an internet service. Picks up the neighbors.
It does its job........2007-05-20
I bought this to use for my laptop, which has a horrible internal wireless LAN adapter, and it's great!
It's incredibly light, not too big, gives me excellent signal around my house, and is a snap to install.
I didn't face any problems that other reviewers mentioned, and best of all, I got it for only 15 bucks.
Can't really go wrong with it.

Amazon.com Review
If good things come in small packages, the WUSB11 from Linksys makes a great addition to a wireless network. Measuring about the size of a deck of cards and weighing just shy of 3 ounces, this little device fits nearly anywhere and is easily stowed in a notebook computer case. Simple USB connectivity makes it compatible with any modern PC, and also makes it easy to swap from one computer to another.
Provided you already have a wireless router or Internet gateway set up, installing the WUSB11 is a snap. We plugged it into a USB port on a test PC, executed the installation program on the included PC, and once the system rebooted we were connected to the network without being tethered to any wires. The unit draws its power directly from the USB port, leaving users with one less cord to lug around and one less device to plug into a wall outlet. We tested the device on a PC located 40 feet laterally and one floor above the wireless router and didn't even need to extend the tiny antenna to get good reception. Should you need to use the antenna, it extends at either 90 degrees or 180 degrees, meaning it will work whether the unit is sitting flat on a desk or mounted vertically on a wall using the included Velcro strips.
Performance was impressive. As an 802.11b product the WUSB11 supports a maximum speed of 11 Mbps and real-world speeds hovered around that mark in our tests. The signal was strong and consistent, making it great for gaming or transferring large files without worrying about a disconnect halfway through. There are only two indicator lights on the unit itself that tell you it's working--a power light and another light that blinks when data is transmitting--but the included software tools allow for a much more detailed picture. Using these utilities we were able to keep an eye on the signal strength (it never dipped below 95 percent), configure the built-in encryption settings, and perform other security and monitoring tasks.
The device is designed to fall back to lower speeds instead of cutting off trans missions completely when it reaches the limits of its range or experiences signal problems. In a normal-size home you should have no trouble maintaining the 11 Mbps signal, but if you wander outdoors with a notebook or are plagued by signal interference, overall transmission speed can step down to 5.5 Mbps, 2 Mbps, or even 1 Mbps depending on conditions. Even at the lowest speed the device is fast enough for speedy Internet browsing (most users won't see any slowdown at all in that area, even for downloads), although transferring files across the network is painfully slow at the lower speeds.
No matter what, if you plan mainly to transfer large files over your network, you'll probably want the extra speed 802.11a or 802.11g devices offer. Of course, you'll also have to absorb the extra cost associated with those products. The WUSB11 is a fantastic 802.11b device for the money, working perfectly straight out of the box, and its low weight and small size make it a viable alternative to a PCMCIA wireless network card for notebook users. Just make sure the computer you want to connect it to doesn't use Windows 95 or NT, because the unit is incompatible with those two operating systems. --T. Byrl Baker
Pros:
- Simple installation and configuration
- Mounts either horizontally or vertically
- Included software provides useful details without overwhelming users with mi nutia
Cons:
- So light that the weight of the USB cord can pull it off a desk
- Maximum 11 Mbps transmission speed may be too slow for some users

A great little unit........2007-06-27
Installing on a Gateway box with XP Media Center, I had no problems whatever. We were up and connected within minutes of opening the box. Considering the price, this was a great little unit.
Very happy they still provide this version!.......2007-06-26
I am very happy they still sell this version. It is a great device to have when fixing or repairing older computers that don't support USB 2.0. It works flawlessly, easy to install, and can be portable since it doesn't need any external power source. It gets all it's power from the USB hub on your PC or laptop.
Performs fine if and when it works........2007-06-20
This little box works fine when not using WEP or WPA. When I use WEP, networking dies after 150-200 megs of data transfer. When using WPA-PSK-TKIP it's even worse. My drivers are up to date.
This is a cheap way to get unwired, but I wouldn't recommend this for secure networking. It is just not stable enough.
BEAUTIFUL.......2007-06-14
This product is awesome! Very cheap yet very powerful! It's was plug and play for the most part. I just had to have my Windows XP Wizard look for the drive in the CD drive with the Linksys CD. After it was installed, all I had to do was match the Wireless Network Connection Properties with a another laptop which uses to the same internet connection. I was good to go after that with no problems.
Awesome.......2007-06-08
I bought this less than a week ago from the time I wrote this review. The adapter is simply awesome, its incredible. I just plugged it in and automatically a window came up with the wireless connections available nearby. There was really nothing to configure, just plug and play. I recommend this to everyone.

When I first bought this product it was great and worked well then after 2 weeks of use the antenna connected to the device breaks off and did not work. Piece of C%#$!.......2007-05-27
The brilliant folks at Netgear sell this lovely wireless adapter w/o the driver to run it. Of course they include in the package a big bold note saying you can download the driver from their website. But wait! The function of the wireless adapter is to connect to the Internet. Duh! No driver, no Internet! Brilliant way to save a nickel!
GOOD FOR MAC USERS.......2007-05-17
I am between Mac Book Pros and wanted to add wireless to an old iBook with no airport card. A card for this costs between $US80 and $US150. i was about to bite the bullet when I did some research and found drivers for this adapter on the Realtek website, maker of the chipset, http://www.realtek.com.tw/downloads/
It works best on PPC Mac right up to the latest OS. I have had no problems. The GUI app from Realtek is not the best designed but for the price its ok. I have used it on a secured and unsecured, and both Mac and PC networks. Be sure to get WG111v2 which uses the chipset from Realtek.

Vista Compatible Excellet 54 Mbps USB Adapter.......2007-03-19
Found this Netgear USB adapter and ordered it. Wow, it is so easy to install and the wireless signal is so stronge. It connected at 54 Mbps most the time. I ordered one after another and have three already. Try it with Windows Vista Home Premium, just in a second it found the driver from my hard drive and connected in few seconds. Very impressive for this adapter.

Didnt work!!!.......2007-06-18
I did not find this product to be easy to use at all. In fact I have not been able to use it with the internet yet. It took so long to connect with my DSL, and finally when it showed that it was connected it still did not show any display of webpages. Very unhappy with this product. Not as easy as it claims to be. However, this is just me I've read really good reviews and this is why I purchased this product. I tried calling the costumer service, but it's more complicated than any other costumer service out there. So many buttons to press in order to get to where you think you want to get. Not happy with this product, but that's just me.
Great product for a travel... and locate signals..........2007-06-17
I bought two of them. The first one two years ago, was a spensive item at that time but do all that i want. I put it in the window and receive several signals for wireless routers very well; the cord its a good design according to the product. I bougth a USB extension cable to try to rise more signals but only work with a short usb extension(like the pendrives bring). I try to use with a 5 feet extension USB cord and the device doesn't work.
In a travel i use the extension cord like a tv antenna some times i want internet in my room when is only available in the lobby. But some times the device do the job properly. When i was in the lobby the i use directly in the usb port and get all excellent signals.
My second device was bought after my boss want my first one. He gime a offert even that his laptop has an internal Intel Wifi G, he want to put outside his window to get free routers because the range of laptop wirelless was poor.
But the sad news was that one night i forget to put the device inside the room and start to rain; i dry the device properly and works again. I left in a pocket in another opportunity and i wahs my clothes. I dry again and clean and works fine. I left again outside my window in a direct sun place(i'm in a tropic zone), and after try to use again was not recognize anymore. Its sad i believe that only have 2 lives.
But i recommend by price and hardworker. If you need more connection capability and range maybe you need to chose a spensive device like linksys.
Thanks.......2007-06-09
Thanks for the good and cheap product, although I received the item after more than 3 weeks!!
Thanks again
Very happy with this purchase.......2007-05-13
I was skeptical when I purchased this item several months ago. However, I have to say that not only was this adapter easy to set up, but it has worked very well thus far. I have a secured home network in my home and this item was a welcome addition to a third computer that had a bad modem. Now, all of my computers are able to access the internet and print off the same printer. I recommend this product.

Not worth it.......2007-05-17
I purchased this hoping I could get a better signal on my laptop at the furthest point from the wireless. I spent about 30 minutes each time I wanted to use the internet trying to find the signal, and when I did, it didn't gain me much speed. It would also lose signal frequently (thus spending more time finding the signal again). Plus, it is very cheaply made and I had to be careful when trasporting it. I sent it back within three days. Beware.
Get free internet access from your neighbors.......2007-05-17
I live in an apartment building that doesn't have Verizon Wireless which costs about $15. The only way to get a high speed Internet is from cable companies but they are way too expensive. So, either using dial-up or Hawking's dish adapter! It picks up multiple signals from my neiborhood's wireless cable modems, allowing me to surf the Internet at DSL speed. The only drawback is waiting for signals to be freely available, usually in the evening or on weekends. Still worth having if you don't want to pay $40-$60 per month.
Does It's JOB!.......2007-04-24
The product allows you to reach out and grab a connection if theirs one to grab. Regular adapters allowed me to SEE connections but not hook up. This one can make the link. No regrets! You have to play with the aim for a while to find potential connections.
hawking wireless USB G-Dish adapter.......2007-04-04
I live in an area that has a lot of free wifi links open to me but I was just out of range of them. I ordered the Hawking usb wireless G Dish and was enformed it would take three to four weeks to receive but I got it in two days. The conection is great. I enjoy the ease of its install and I have had no problems with it. A download that took 50 or 60 mins now takes 5 mins. I very happy with the small dish. One thing sometimes heavy rain breaks down the the conection speed.
Good Product.......2007-03-28
I ordered the product in order to be able to receive a wireless signal on my laptop from my home network in an outlying craft room in our house, where previously I had only been able to get an weak intermittant signal. The product installed easily, using the installation CD. I have not used the accompanying Network Finder software. The antenna boosted the signal two or times from what it had been and I was able to receive signals from other networks that I hadn't been able to previously. The only shortfall, is that the dish antenna seems fragile, cannot rotate 360 degrees, and it does not fold down, so transportation without of the original box might be risky. I am generally vary satisified with the product.

Barely worked then died - terrible software.......2007-06-13
I decided to purchase this because I needed a cheap, temporary hookup from my desktop to my Wi-Fi network powered by a Linksys WRT54G. After running the software and plugging in the F5D7050 within the claimed 400 ft range, I received no signal at all.
Determined to get the device working, I replaced the firmware on my Linksys router with DD-WRT, then boosted the output power from 28 to 70. Finally! I could sporadically connect to the network!
After a few days, I could no longer connect. I ordered the large, unsightly antennae for my router hoping this would improve signal between the Belkin and the Linksys. After attaching them to the router, I see a stronger signal but still cannot connect.
One large factor contributing to my nighmare is the fact that Belkin's included software is horrible. It makes no sense. I can never reproduce the magic formula to connect (reboot? reinstall software? unplug and reattach the USB device? enable/disable Wireless Zero Config?). I have given up and decided to spend the big bucks on the Linksys USB adapter.
Meanwhile, I have two Dell laptops which have connected EVERY time to the Linksys from farther away with no problems at all!
dont buy this.......2007-06-11
I bought this about 4 months ago. At first it worked ok(2-4 bars) but after a month or so the signal started to get weaker and weaker to the point where it didnt pickup any signal at all. Now it does'nt even work. Ive tried it on serveral computers (installing and uninstalling) but it still does not work.
Worked for 7 months, then died -- driver software is subpar.......2007-05-28
Didn't install properly on WinXP SP2 initially, so had to mess around a lot to get it working. Then after about 7 months of mostly trouble-free use, it just died for no reason.
The adapter itself is fine because it works on other machines, but the driver and support software that comes bundled with it are very poor, and I was not able to get it working again even after reinstalling Windows XP!
Driver support from Belkin is very poor. Take your business elsewhere.
Works for me with Vista.......2007-05-25
Just bought a new Dell with Vista Home Premium. Have version 3 of this adapter. Tried to install the driver for this version from the Belkin website, but Vista couldn't install it. Decided to go ahead and install the software/utility, even though the product states it is not compatible with Vista. After installing the software, all I had to do was connect to the network using the Network and Sharing Center. It's worked flawlessly for a week now, with good signal strength. No problems when restaring the computer - it automatically connects to the network. Haven't had to unplug the adapter. Vista cannot find the Belkin Utility, however, which is probably a good thing. Very satisfied so far.
Works great on my mac clamshell G3.......2007-05-09
I have an old clamshell G3 without an airport card using OS X.4. My computer tech told me it would be impossible to get wireless internet without spending $60 or more on an airport card from another clamshell computer. He was wrong. This is a viable option. I installed a driver from the support page of Belkin's website (I used the one for 10.3), and bam! I had a wireless connection to the internet. I'm so glad I found this!

Wireless Technology.......2007-06-27
This product is absolutely terrible. It will not work with Vista. It gives you the blue screen of death, and has a dialup + connection. It's got broadband speeds but disconnects from the wireless network just like a dialup connection. It kills hard drives by making Vista freeze up. Vista is unstable because of this piece of junk which overheats and disconnects from the network.
DO NOT BUY NETGEAR PRODUCTS.......2007-06-16
I bought this wireless adapter about 2 years ago, and discontinued using it after about two months because the connection was very sporadic and slow. Their customer support staff was totally and completely unhelpful. I later found out that part of the problem was the Netgear wireless router, which was unreliable in its ability to transmit the signals, and I had to unplug and then fully restart both the cable modem and the router several times a day. I switched to a Netgear wire router, which was only slightly more reliable and was able to deliver higher speeds, but I still found myself unplugging and restarting every few days.
I recently bought a new non-Netgear wireless router (Linksys, which works great), and the Netgear adapter seems to be working well, that is, until it starts to overheat. It only takes a few hours for it to overheat and it just stops working, so I have to unplug it to let it cool down then replug. I've read that others have been experiencing the same problem with their wireless adapters.
After trying 3 different Netgear products, I would NEVER AGAIN buy another product from them. Their products are inferior and prone to problems, and good luck getting technical support. Save your money and avoid headaches, DON'T BUY NETGEAR.

Great product! I was happy to find this handy little gizmo. I wanted to set up a secondary computer on my home network, but didn't want the hassle of an internal device. I didn't know that such a device existed, but it was exactly what I wanted/needed and works flawlessly!
Thank you, Netgear (and Amazon)!
