This single-pass, CCD (charge coupled device) sensor scanner provides image scalability to scan and enlarge slides and other media, along with batch scanning capacity. The Intelligent Image Process Engine (IIPE) evaluates the correct scanner settings for many types of images, providing fast, untroubled scanning at high speeds--24 seconds for a color image, 8.5 by 11 inches at 300 dpi, with scaling from 1 percent to 1,000 percent in 5 percent increments. IIPE also auto-crops image areas and can correct the orientation if the source image is off center.
