The TwinPlate technology and oversize scan bed make the Agfa T2000XLscanner an excellent choice for professional-level scanning. Thetraditional scan bed is the perfect home for reflective originals such asphotos or graphics; specially designed lenses guarantee consistent claritythroughout the image, while the 12-by-18-inch bed can easily handleyour oversize preprint images. For film scanning, use the 9.5-by-12-inchtray and one of the five included frames for smooth results. With thissystem of glassless frames that adhere to the tray, annoyances such asNewton rings and distortion have been removed. Quick batch scanning for35mm film, 4-by-5-inch slides, or 6-by-6-centimeter film is available throughan additional included set of frames, with other frame sizes soldseparately. The four cold cathode lamps are an efficient choice of lighting--not only do they last five times longer than compact fluorescents, theyprovide a bright and consistently lighted scan bed. The SCSI-2 interface iscompatible with either PC or Macintosh systems, and Agfa FotoLook andColorTune scanning management programs are included. There is a three-yearmanufacturer's warranty that covers parts and service.
