Batteries Not Included.......2007-03-19

I purchased this phone and had it shipped directly to my elderly father in another state. The description never indicated batteries were required and it did not come with batteries. Had I known, I would have either ordered another phone or the batteries to go along with it. Instead, the phone sat for 2 weeks waiting for one of Dad's caregivers to purchase batteries. Dad swears it doesn't have a speakerphone option and since I haven't seen the phone, I have no idea if it's the correct phone. If it does have the advertised speakerphone capabilities, they are not as well marked as the other "big buttons". I'm disappointed.

I got this headset to save money, instead I wasted both time and money.
The sound quality is cheap and hard to hear at times. the head phones cover BOTH ears and this can make hearing things around you more difficult
I bought this so I could have my hands free while gaming or changing diapers, I never use it because it is cumbersome. the cord is so long I have to wrap it around the waist clip just to keep from getting caught on things. and having the phone in my pocket or on my belt causes me to bump buttons by accident
when I use it while gaming it works great as I don't have to move around much and I can keep my hands free
not a bad head set for 10 bucks, but I would have gladly paid for the 40 or 50 dollar models if I had known the faults of this one

Good deal for the money........2007-06-18

I bought one of these for my brother to replace one that came with his cordless phone. He is a little hard of hearing and can hear much better with one of these. His only complaint is the length of the cord. It is so long it catches on things when you walk around and gets pulled off your head. I suggested he use a twist tie to keep it the length he wanted it, so now he is happy with it. I could not find anything like it for anywhere near the price.

The buzzing noise on this was so bad that I wouldn't even use it for voice conversation, let alone data or fax. Sure enough, it didn't work for fax, just failed to sync up with the remote fax machine. Absolute garbage, and for the price it really ought to be as good as the best wireless phones. (I don't have DSL, my phone line is very clear, I use 5.8GHz wireless phones without any problems. So nothing to do with my environment.)

From other reviews, some found it satisfactory. So at the very best it's unreliable. But I wouldn't bother with it.

Works pretty well...except with DISH.......2007-03-05

Bought the device to add the necessary phone line for my satellite receiver in a room with no hard-wired phone jack. The devices work great, even with our SBC DSL, EXCEPT when the remote unit is connected to the DISH receiver. Even then, it makes good connection with the receiver, allowing it to dial out, etc. And, it delivers caller ID information to the receiver. BUT, when connected to the satellite receiver, the base unit cuts off all incoming calls after two rings, not giving us or our answering machine time to pick up. It's as if it answers the phone and then hangs up. Could not figure out how to stop this. So my score is low if needed for a DISH network 522 receiver.

Be Careful of Extra Phone Jacks.......2007-02-25

This Southwestern Bell S60900 is really a Philips PH0900 and the unit works fine.....BUT be warned that the S60901 extra wireless jack may not be compatible. Make sure the Philips numbers correspond.... as the Southwestern
Bell numbers mean nothing when it comes to compatibility.

Best bang for your buck.......2007-06-18

It would be tough to find better binoculars for the same price. I bought these for safari in Africa and they worked well. I especially liked the zoom feature. With just a high-power binocular, it's hard to find what you're looking for. With these, you find what you want at 7X, then zoom in.

I would have liked to have had a slightly more powerful binocular in a few places (maybe 25X), but overall they were great. We were able to get close enough to most animals to see them well with the binoculars. They were still bright enough even on a cloudy day, which can be a problem for compact binoculars. Best of all, they're cheap enough that you don't have to worry too much about damaging or losing them.

I was planning on selling mine when I got back, but I'm going to keep them.

Good, Gimmicky Golf Glass.......2007-06-13

After a number of noteworthy nature encounters on the golf course, I decided it would be wise to purchase a compact binocular for my golf bag. To that end, I purchased the Bushnell Powerview 7-15x25 reverse porro prism binocular.

My overall impression has been quite positive. At 7x magnification, the optics are wholly sufficient, providing crisp, bright views with only minor distortion toward the edges. The 262 foot (@ 1000 yards) field-of-view is somewhat narrow, but appears clear and deep.

Taking the magnification higher, the optical quality predictably declines. At full 15x zoom, the field-of-view shrinks to 183 feet at 1000 yards, and significantly less light passes through, leaving objects conspicuously darker by contrast. Nevertheless, the higher magnification can reveal details that are not visible at 7x, provided that the user has a very steady hand and good eyes to begin with.

The zoom function itself is intuitive and simple, completed with a quarter-turn of the collar that frames the right eye cup. The instruction manual recommends beginning at full zoom, then drawing back. This way, less refocusing is required. I prefer to begin with the full field-of-view, increasing magnification if desired. It is entirely possible to increase from 7x to 15x without losing sight of an object, but some refocusing is required once the desired magnification has been reached.

Relative to price, I am quite pleased with the Bushnell Powerview binocular. It fits comfortably in a small pocket in my golf bag, and provides excellent views at lower magnifications. I am, as yet, unsure what value to place upon the zoom feature. Whether it will be of use to you depends upon how you weigh the relative importance of magnification versus light-gathering capacity. While the zoom feature is somewhat amusing, consumers in search of a quality optical instrument will find a nice, standard compact to be a superior purchase.

PRO'S:
- Optics at lower magnification are crisp, clear, and bright.
- Size: fits comfortably in a large pocket.
- Appearance: well-designed reverse porro compact.
- Eye Relief: Fold-down rubber eye-cups make viewing through sunglasses (and presumably eyeglasses) possible.

CON'S:
- Optics at higher magnification are darker and more difficult to focus.
- Not comfortable for extended viewing.
- No objective lens covers.

Pretty good for what I use it for.......2003-10-10

I got this binocular because of a lack of selection at any local stores here, even though I can't find reviews for it hoping they would turn out good.

It turned out nice, and works good for what I use it for (watching animals from far off, zooming in on the golfers at a near by course, some minor astonomy...). Being a zoom binocular they probably aren't as sharp as set magnification ones, but that doesn't matter to me for what I use it for.

It seems to be a good all around binocualar: easy to get it focused, good range, not too heavy, works decent enough in low light, plus it comes with a really nice leather carry bag.

Only downside I found is that the zoom switch jammed on the 1st one I got, and I had to return it for a new one, and the zoom on the new one is a little shoddily made aswell.

Great Combination of Features.......2001-06-09

This binocular is inexpensive, fairly compact, has insta-focus, and most importantly...it has a zoom! You can go from 7X magnification to 15X magnification, which is perfect from anything to a wide view to getting really really close. Great construction and durability, I am really pleased with it.

Big View-Big Binocular.......2000-06-27

Bushnell make wonderful products, The binoculars are handy on hikes and concerts but the one wish I have is for a lightweight small Bioncular with the same low cost and more viewing power.
