La Fiebre Live...En Concierto [Live]

When the Tejano gold-rush days dawned in the early '90s, the young La Fiebre were riding the crest. They combined tight musicianship, a dynamic stage show, and addictive, horn-fueled rhythms. The best stuff included hits like "Si Mañana Viene o No," "De Cantina a Cantina," and "Vestida de Color de Rosa." They also introduced power-pop Tejano ballads in "El Amor Se Acaba" and "Borrachos de Besos." But a nasty legal tangle in 1992 with its label EMI Latin lost the band precious momentum. By the time the smoke cleared in 1995, La Fiebre were back at ground zero and never recovered. Key players like trumpeters Eric Jimenez and Luis Ayala left. All the hits are here, but the fires don't burn as hot. --Ramiro Burr

5 out of 5 stars La Fiebre rules!.......2003-06-14

This is one of the best live recordings I've ever heard, even though they no longer had Eric and Louis. The keyboard trumpets sounded as good as live trumpets and saxaphones. Pete's vocals are still not as strong as they used to be, but I understand that he's had a few problems with his vocal chords. Still an awesome CD, though!

If you like La Fiebre then you should have this cd. The songs are really good. "El Amor Se Acaba", "Eres Mi Primer Amor", "Aquel Carino", "Por Tu Culpa", "Vestida De Color De Rosa", and "Borracho De Besos" are their best songs.

5 out of 5 stars La Fiebre Live...Un Conierto (LIVE).......2001-03-20

If you love Tejano music, this CD is a must-have! La Fiebre is a band whose music is full of passion and raw emotion. They wirte most of their own music and do not pick from a studio catalog.

Having seen La Fiebre live, I can testify that you will definately enjoy each track!
