Best of Ray Boltz.......2007-04-04
My family loves his music and you would too. my eldest brother loves to sing his music when he performs and there are always tears in the peoples eyes.
Ray Boltz is an inspiration!!
Good ole' country gospel ..........2007-03-21
I heard "Thank You" sung by a Pastor at our church a few months back, and while he sung the Holy Ghost swept through the congregation. Wow. The entire double CD is timeless and a keeper.
Ray Boltz: An Inspirational Storyteller.......2007-01-30
"Is There A Heaven For Me", they are all here! I am near tears every time I hear "Is There A Heaven For Me", the story of a child, cold and hungry in the street and the question she asks. Ray has given of himself to children like that with his work for Mission Of Mercy. I have personally seen Ray Boltz in concert twice, and this CD reminds me of those performances. He is a great singer, and wonderful man of God!

Rickey is Too Much!.......2004-11-18
The tracks that aren't listed are the ones I didn't find amusing.
02. Sweet Milk (10/10) - The first prank. Granny calls Krogers and asked for some sweet milk every other, other question, it's hilarious.
05. My Toes Fell Off (9/10) - Too much! Granny calls the hospital and tells the nurses that two of her toes fell off, it's really funny.
06. Got Cheese? (10/10) - What's really funny about this prank is half of the time, he's on hold singing and cussin', real funny. Then tells the man that sister Cora's bowel's locked up and passed away and needs cheese that won't lock up the church member's. Very funny!
07. Monroe's Momma (9/10) - An argument prank, one of my favorites. Granny calls this guys mom and stirs her up and she starts cussin' and carrying on. Then Granny says she's gonna do a pray-by. She's gonna drive by her house and throw some little green Bibles on her porch. Really funny.
08. My Baby's Daddy (09/10) - What's good about this one is another comedian, "Small Fry" is featured on this prank. They call some chinese guy and she starts carryin' on about why you leave my mommy? It's real good.
09. Churches Chicken (9/10) - The first prank I ever heard from Rickey. Granny calls and asks about what time is the service and sunday school. The main prank.
The rest I don't really listen to, but 13. Remember Me Ballin, a medley by Granny is really funny.

Hey look guys, Kermit the Frog released a reggae album.......2003-06-12
Considering this mindless junk "reggae" must have Bob Marley rolling in his grave. This is just some nasal-voiced bleating over an overused R&B beat. This guy has at least one of the most ANNOYING voices I have ever heard. This is not singing, people! Nor is it reggae! It's just another dumb pop album that won't mean a thing in two weeks. Want real reggae? Buy Bob Marley or even Sublime. Don't waste your hard-earned money on this ridiculousness.
It's "Not Helpful" clicking time again.
Good Collection but.................................2002-02-13
This cannot be true for the version on this album as it sounds absolutely nothing like Janet nor like the Track that was on the "How Stella got her Groove back" Soundtrack. It may just be my copy of the disc, but somehow I doubt it. This fact prevents me from giving this release the five stars it rightly deserves.
Other than this song, the album is "SWEET". His Maxi Priest collaborations among others are timeless and the two versions of "Mr. Boombastic" don't hurt this compilation either.

"In the west I see an evening".......2003-11-12
The song "The Howling" in particular speaks to where we, as Americans have been, are, and continue to go:
------------------------------------------
"I can see the iron horses' tracks
Pressed in the mud from the weight of all that steam and steel
But the wind don't blow where you want it to go
No, the wind just goes where it will and you follow
I can feel the breath of winter
Driving this snow across these newly-whited plains
Takes my breath from me and it leaves me falling
Then it picks me up again in its own strength
And I can hear the wild wind howling
And I can feel it in my bones
And I know that the howling will take me home
I can see some traveller's footprints
There's a little bit of blood in every step he made
I wonder what kind of burden he's bearing
That has cut him so deeply every step along the long, long way
In the west I see an evening
This scarlet thread stretched beneath the gathering dark
Red as the blood on the hands of the Savior
And rich as the mercy that flowed from His broken heart
And I can hear the wild wind howling
And I can feel it in my bones
And I know that the howling will take me home
These men of violence, they have made this a world full of wars
Oh God break Your silence and let Your justice shine forth
Show some mercy, Oh Lord
'Cause I can see a people dispossessed
Broken and brave in the face of so much fear
Driven from their homes by the greed of a nation
Whose treaties were as good as litter
Along the trail of their tears
I can see the Covenant colors
The sun and the rain have woven against the blue of the sky
And I know if we live we will live by His promise
I know He who made it and
I'm sure that He would not lie
And I can hear the wild wind howling
And I can feel it in my bones
And I know that the howling will take me home"
------------------------------------
The choice is ours.
The rest is silence.

Susan Ashton sings like an angel.......2003-11-20
This greatest hits album is a perfect introduction to Susan Ashton's music. One of the most immediate things you'll hear is her magnaminous voice: God gave Susan Ashton some impeccable pipes, and she knows how to use them. This singer has one of the most pristine and herculean voices in popular music today (think Martina McBride, a good comparison). Moreover, Susan sings with passion, knowing instinctively how to convey the personal feelings associated with her songs.
Of course, a central dimension to these songs is the unmistakable Christian themes. Whether she's encouraging us to "reach out beyond justice to mercy, going more than halfway to forgive," or acknowledging that "no one knows my heart better than [God]," or proclaiming she'll "stand...for what I believe," you can expect to hear messages to which all believing people relate.
This album contains some of the finest songs in contemporary Christian music. I highly recommend it!
testament to an amazing voice and a life lived for Christ.......2001-07-08
Susan Ashton possesses a pure, gorgeous voice that immediately captivates. It is an incredible, expressive gift honed by a passion for her craft and a commitment to her calling -- it is a precise, masterful vocal presence. "So Far" is a testament to an amazing voice and an even more amazing partnership with songwriter Wayne Kirkpatrick. His intelligent, thoughtful lyrics and gorgeous melodies go straight to the heart of the Christian walk. Together they create some of the most honest testimonies of living faith you may ever hear.
Much of this material would be considered acoustic pop/rock with some country leanings and even a little jazz ("Remember Not"). It's difficult for me to pick a favorite -- the entire album is excellent. I do wish that more material from the third release ("Susan Ashton") had been included -- "Summer Solstice" in particular.
If you are a fan of warm, rich, confident vocals over spare, sophisticated lyrics reflecting a life for Christ, then SO FAR -- and all of Susan Ashton's earlier work -- is for you.

Album Description
From the composer: Over the past three years I have received a lot of emails and phone calls asking if I would ever release the DragonBall Z background music (the soundtracks) on compactdisc. Well, I have been listening to you and have been working hard to make your requests happen.I really enjoy writing music and working on DragonBall Z. I first met the gang back in episode #68 when Gohan and Krillin were on Namek waiting for Goku to arrive. Vegeta was scary and hard to figure out, and always thinking about himself, but what's new there anyway?
And who would ever figure out Bulma?- She is awesome and unpredictable. But aren't all the DragonBall Z women awesome and unpredictable? You know, ... Chi Chi, Maron, Android 18,Videl, ...
I can tell you that over the years the range of musical styles needed to cover this epic story has been huge. And if anyone ever asks you if you're havin' fun yet...tell `em I said yes! Thanks to all of you out there who kept after me to get these CDs out. I hope you enjoy the selections, and if I missed one of your favorites, let me know.
Customer Reviews:
Enter the world of DBZ..........2006-10-31
fear that Volume 1 would contain earlier unrefined music.
I was wrong. Volume 1 easily holds a candle to Volume
2. The first CD certainly uses more electric guitars
which gives it a harder sound, which should be pleasing to
those that enjoy hard rock. And, of course, we get a lot
of futuristic synthesizer mood music. You get music from
the Andoid Saga, Trunks, Cell, and Garlic Jr. Sagas in
a total of 25 tracks.
I don't understand those that whine about the American
version of DBZ when most of the DVD's contain both versions.
In my opinion, the American actors brought much to the characters,
giving it more of a cartoonish feel versus the original Japanese
voice actors which sounded too much alike and far too serious.
Not DragonballlZ.......2006-08-12
for the fans.......2006-01-11
The music on this CD is awesome...it is part ambient dance music, part drama, part synth[some of it sounds a bit dated, late 1980's, but it fits the story], part kick-ass rock ["Destruction", "Vegeta's Theme"]
It says right on the CD sleeve, "American Soundtrack" so if you are one of those whiney fans who like to pretend the American version doesn't exist, then don't buy this CD; end of story. But if you are a fan of the popular AMERICAN version of DBZ, casual or obsessed as I am, get this CD...it's a great dramatic emotional ride. Thumbs up, Mr. Faulconer.
This music is ridiculous........2005-08-02

Album Description
SouthlandRecords.com is proud to present the first volume of "The Best Of Curtis Potter". In this "Best Of Volume 1" you will find nine (9) of the classic songs that Curtis recorded either on 45's or on LP's for Dot, Capitol, RCA, Hillside and Step One Records. Three (3) new songs were recorded to round out the song list. All twelve (12) of these new digital recordings were completed during May 2001, with an emphasis on capturing the feel and styling of the original recordings. Consideration was also given to bringing each song to the current 2001 standard for commercial success.Bill Mack, Country Music Hall Of Fame DJ had this to say: "Curtis Potter is in that special genre of music that is so very much enjoyed and appreciated. The handle some attach is "Honky Tonk" or "Western Swing". Others refer to it as "The Texas Beat" or "The Southwest Sound". It really doesn't matter what tag is attached, it is simply very good music presented by a man who is respected as being at the top of the heap at his craft. After listening to Curtis Potter on this collection, you will be anxiously looking forward to 'The Best Of Curtis Potter Volume 2'!"
Mike Crow, Program Director KTFW-FM, Fort Worth, Texas had this to say: "Curtis Potter is one of a hand full of country singers that can sing Honky Tonk & Western Swing songs and convince you that he invented the style. There a few others in that catagory, like Leon Rausch, Ray Price, Hank Thompson, Jake Hooker and Johnny Bush. Another quality of these fellows is that they seem to age like a fine wine, just getting better at their craft as the years go by. This CD from Curtis Potter will give you the same satifaction as that rare bottle of fine wine. I could not begin to pick a favorite from this compilation of songs. The smooth vocal style of Curtis Potter brings out the best in every one....Enjoy."
