Not their best, but still a great cd!.......2006-05-11

OK, this other review makes it sound like this cd would have a parental advisory or something..."Bitte, Bitte" might be a little crazy, but they're just nonsense songs and kids and parents should take them that way. I'd be more concerned seeing a Boesen Onkelz or Fler cd in my kids room, personally.

I prefer the more recent albums with Rod as Bassist (I believe '88 was still the Hagen Liebling time) but there are some fun songs on this album too. I'm particularly fond of "Westerland" and "Blumen" (and the hillarious reasons to be vegetarian--evidently written after the guys walked into a smelly apartment where their manager claimed that it couldn't have been him, because Vegetarians couldn't produce those kinds of odors...) It's a silly cd for the most part (there are a few love songs, some of a slightly more serious nature) and their music has progressed to more of a rock sound since which I personally like better, but this is still a fun cd to be enjoyed--and it won't corrupt any children! If anything it promises to induce some giggles...

Just fun!.......2000-07-20

This compilation contains songs the band recorded before starting their career as one of Germany's best-known rock bands. The songs may sound quite amateurish at first, but give the boys a chance, and you won't regret it. The songs are extraordinarily funny, sometimes more intelligent, mostly pure nonsense, though. Listen and be amused. Most of the tracks sound quite impromptu, but the band's punky past is clearly evident throughout the cd. There are snotty punk-pop rampage songs ("Anneliese Schmidt"), country fakes ("Kopfhaut") or even surf pop ("Sommer, Palmen, Sonnenschein") - you'll surely love them. But - of course - you should be able to understand some of the language...

Average customer rating: A must-have for ýrzte fans! A great live album they want your soul! These CDs are real fun!

A must-have for ýrzte fans!.......2006-05-11

Die ?rzte are known for their incredible concerts. They are one of those bands with seemingly inexhaustible energy--I've yet to hear of a "bad" ?rzte concert. This CD contains many of their greatest songs (at least the greatest from that time--they're getting better every year!) and with all the dialogue and energy that make their concerts great. Definitely a good one to have in the collection...

A great live album.......2003-09-09

For fans of die Aerzte, this is a must-have album. One of the two CDs essentialy features live versions of the band's album "13", while the other features a selection of some of die Aerzte's older but timeless songs. The best feature, though, is the 3" mini-CD, which features 40-odd minutes of "Ansagen," which are the random, often crass, invariably funny comments that the band throws out during their shows. The dialogue gave me a headache until I realized that the mixers of the album cleverly doubled the amount of Ansage-time by recording 20 minutes on the right stereo channel and a completely different 20 minutes on the left. Listen to them one channel at a time for best comprehension.

arzte is great! Punk at it's best. Live double Cd, can't bet that, Kafer and Deutch rock girl togeher (two of my faves), the sound much better live. go buy it now, wir wollen deine seele!

These CDs are real fun!.......2000-07-07

Die Ärzte is one of the greatest bands I know. Die Ärzte make a kind of German Punk Rock and this very well! This album includes some speeches about real nonsens and listening to it is real fun, of course it's all in German so if you buy it you'd be able to understand it but even if you don't it's still a cool sound!
