A great introduction to Eastern music for Western ears!.......2000-05-16
This CD by former jazz musician Chaula Hopefisher is a wonderful introduction to Eastern meditation music. The more tradtional music of this genre by artists such as Ravi Shankar, remains rather elusive to Western ears, but Ms. Hopefisher's music reflects a wide variety of musical styles including jazz, Celtic, and reggae, as well as songs in Latin, Hebrew and Sanskrit.
I have interviewed her on my radio show and she is a very intelligent, very warm, very talented musician and teacher.
I recommend her CD highly!
