About the Artist
GMI was formed in Nuevo Laredo, Tamaulipas, Mexico, in 1990. Since its beginning the band's energetic and dynamic shows have captivated and dazzled audiences.

By 1992 GMI was considered the best band in its hometown and because of that GMI was given the oppoutunity to open for the internationally acclaimed Mexican rock group, "Mana".

Customer Reviews:

4 out of 5 stars Buena Musica.......2001-04-30

3 out of 5 stars Elisa is the star........2000-08-21

Nearly all the standout songs ("Sigue El Camino," "Lo Sé," "Es Amor") are sung by Elisa Brizuela, who unfortunately is often relegated to the background on this promising album. The CD keeps an uptempo pace, and some care has obviously been put into crafting interesting melodies and eclectic arrangements. And unlike many party-oriented bands, their ballads are more than just afterthoughts, as "Corazón Herido" and "Lo Sé" ably demonstrate. As for Brizuela, she has the voice to lead any group she wants, but the same can't be said about her two male co-lead-vocalists. If the group doesn't make better use of her, it would be hard to blame her if she looked for her own "libertad."
