to do the floors. AND smile at the same time. believe me, very few CDs can do that. My sis didn't want it so she handed it to me.

Not the same as the first 'Au Zenith'.......2001-04-17

This CD is not be confused as the original 'Au Zenith'. It does not have the same energy though the band tried to get the audience to participate. Still, it's a great CD to own. The music collection complements the original. The organ solo in "Manman Kreyol" is fantastic. "Medley Jacob" is special and has a nice touch. The only thing missing on this recording is the audience.

This CD is even better than Kassav Cho, recorded at the same venue 3 years later. If you want an introduction to zouk (party) music, this is the best place to start!

Live Au Zenith [IMPORT] [LIVE].......2001-01-28

I love this CD of Kassav in live in concert, because I feel like I am actually listening to the concert live. I like Kassav's music a lot, like the voices, the instruments, and the lyrics. I appreaciate international music a whole lot, and Kassav is one of my favorite artists, and this is definately one my favorite CD's of Kassav. I like the transition from one song to the other, I like the songs selected and performed for this particular concert. Love it, love it, love it.

Best sound quality yet!.......2002-04-11

This is a c.d most Ros fans have hoped would be released for a long time. The reason for this is this is one of the few set,s of early Edmundo Ros releases which have been transfered straight from the original master tapes. The reason for this is spectrum (the label that has released this cd) and Decca (ROS,S original label) are part of Universal Music so Spectrum had access to the Decca vaults.The sound quality is superb and although no single Ros cd will ever include everything the true Ros fanatic would want issued this cd does include a lot of stuff seeing the light of day for the first time in decades.Edmundo Ros had a sound totally his own and musicanship on this cd is of a very high standard. All in all reccomended.

Instant Hit.......2006-02-08

When I think of Kassav, I think of powerful and beautiful sounds. The sweet sound Of Jocelyne Beroards's voice really take some of the songs to new heights. Although this album is more than ten years old, its still a wonderful album with beautiful harmonies.

THE ULTIMATE KASSAV CD.......2001-04-19

Ladies and Gentlemen. This is a MUST HAVE for both Zouk music lovers and anyone else in the world who appreciates good music. I for one Dont Speak french or creole. However, I heard this CD once and had to buy it. The melodies, composition and instrument organization will blow your mind away.

The song "FLASH " is my favourite mind blower for those silent days! Happy listening, plus try other KASSAV cd's too.

The Kassav album to own!.......2000-07-25

I have three Kassav albums, and this is by far my favorite (tho I love all three). The music is very strong, especially on "Sye Bwa (Sawing Wood)" and "Soleil (Sun)".

It's toe-tapping rythem from start to finish. I've lent this album to non-creole speaking friends who have loved it as much as I do, just for the great music and lively spirit of the song.

If you like reggae or Lingala, you'll love this music. Buy and enjoy!

Good Solid Effort.......2001-05-30

While there are no tracks as immediately captivating as the party classic "Se Dem Bonjou'" on Majestik Zouk, Kassav have assembled another solid collection of good songs for this disk. "Leve Tet Ou" is a real stand out. Jocelyne grooves with so little effort that she approaches perfection. The rhythms are first rate and the band's infectous enthusiasm really does seem inexhaustible. YOU CANNOT STOP THIS KASSAV PARTY. My only problem with this cd is that "Kassav au Zenith" has many of the same songs recorded live where the band tears the roof off of the Zenith in Paris. Sheer insanity. There is an energy that is lacking from the studio that keeps this from being a truly outstanding disk. Still, well worth the purchase price to simply share in the fun. Get the "Zenith" cd if you are ready for a serious all-out party. The band deserves much more respect than it gets from the American music critics. My advice to them: Lighten up and pour yourself a drink. Wake up and smell the guava, guys. There's a party goin' on, so don't blame the band if you miss it.
