What a great album! I was particularly impressed by the arrangements. While they were complex, Mr Marriott's interpertation made them easy to listen. I was immediately lost in a dream when first I heard this CD. I recomend it ! Lost in the melody, Tim Wilkenson
Beautiful And Captivating........2001-06-10
"Strombazzare L'Aria" is a very beautiful, moving piece of music. The arrangements have a dream-like quality and the trumpet playing is virtuoso work. The best song in my view is "Solo Un Sogno" which has a hypnotic melody and is performed and composed with depth, feeling and a true sense of the atmosphere good music can create. There were moments when I was almost moved to tears. Every song has its own special value in the sound. The songs mostly last 2 or 3 minutes in length, and this leaves us wanting more. That is what good music can do. This is also soothing music and yet it can also be just plain hypnotic. There is an element of every feeling here. Very good music indeed.

Have you ever wondered what a California sunset looks like thru the many tones of a trumpet? Or felt the pious prescence of childhood memory while walking thru a forest? These very genuine impressions came to me as I listened to Thomas Marriott's Strombazzare l'Aria. Speaking in voices I have never heard, this beautiful recording creates an atmosphere. Solo Un Sogno reflects a blue mood while Core' NGrato is hymnlike and solemn; Il Mio Cuore Canta is a flowing emotion in motion while my favorite, Lascia Ch'io Pianga evokes earthy new age overtones, reminiscent of Yanni. This cd is a wonderful,new surprise to anyone looking for a new journey. You won't be disappointed.
