About the Artist
Born in Canada, Nandin played piano and guitar before being drawn to the flute. She studied with world reknowned flutists. Nandin recieved a degree in composition and pursued a career in the orchestra and as a flute teacher before returning to a more improvised style of music.

Ethereal drones and well ventilated harmonics, for your listening pleasure.......2006-05-21

I have both of Roger Winfield's Aeolian harp CDs, and I like them immensely. The sounds are ethereal drones with their occasional harmonics, wafting in and over in an unhurried exposition. These CDs would make for good meditation music, or a clean ambience to a well ventilated room on a summer evening. Dreamy stuff.

I'd like to hear ( hint ) Aeolian harp with a background of big weather, like natural thunder off in the distance or rain nearby ( not simply overlaid by a soundmaster in a studio ).

Album Description

This musical tribute contains 10 of John Denver's hits as performed by Dan Monroe. Monroe spent 7 months in the studio recording this tribute CD, a project that he had dreamed of fulfilling for the past 10 years. The versions of these songs are his own interpretation but definitely hold the flavor of John's original recordings.

Appropriate Tribute to one of the Greatest Songwriters Ever.......2003-12-15

It's truly a hard task for any singer to record an album entirely of John Denver songs, while the late singer has set such a high standard with his own recordings of timeless classics. Dan Monroe accepted the challenge, and the result is quite impressive. While his voice does not match Denver's, his versions of well-known songs are vivid renditions, with lots of individual musical notions. The choice of songs is very well done, because Monroe did not limit himself to some sort of karaoke-style greatest hits collection (as many others did), but recorded some lesser known gems, first of all the powerful "Love is the Master", where he even managed an appropriate "Denverish" yodelling. Monroe's voice has some rough edges, at times it is even similar to Denver's typical nasal sound, but he always stays his own self - a very talented singer and guitarist. Over the years I have had the pleasure of listening to several dozen albums of Denver tributes. Although the album does not meet today's hifi top standards, this is truly one of the best, and at the price you do nothing wrong purchasing it.
