Good ole' country gospel ..........2007-03-21
I heard "Thank You" sung by a Pastor at our church a few months back, and while he sung the Holy Ghost swept through the congregation. Wow. The entire double CD is timeless and a keeper.
Ray Boltz: An Inspirational Storyteller.......2007-01-30
"Is There A Heaven For Me", they are all here! I am near tears every time I hear "Is There A Heaven For Me", the story of a child, cold and hungry in the street and the question she asks. Ray has given of himself to children like that with his work for Mission Of Mercy. I have personally seen Ray Boltz in concert twice, and this CD reminds me of those performances. He is a great singer, and wonderful man of God!

Relive the series from your CD player.......2006-10-25
songs with tracks varying in time from 30 seconds to 3 minutes,
depending on the scene length of the cartoon. My only complaint is
the shorter tracks which pull you in and then abruptly end.
However, with it being a mix of sagas you get an interesting variety of rapidly-changing, futuristic synthesizer mood music. These are the same tracks from the animated series minus voiceovers. If you enjoy the series than this soundtrack is right up your alley.
What a great CD!.......2004-06-26

George's second 20 hits.......2003-02-19
Among the classic songs here you can find Famous last words of a fool, Baby's gotten goodbye and Love without end amen. Overnight male was not officially released as a single, but received a lot of airplay. With the country singles chart being based on radio play instead of sales, the airplay it received pushed it into the bottom end of the chart, qualifying it as a hit.
Apart from Overnight male, the only other hit that didn't make the country top ten was George's cover of Lovesick blues. Apparently, many radio stations refused to play it because it features George yodelling.
There is no volume three as such, although Latest greatest straitest hits covers the period from 1994 to 1999 and the intervening hits can be found on George's 1993 album, Easy come easy go.

A Bookmark in House History.......2006-12-22
For the rest of you who are just getting into house, or who are interested in starting, this might be a good place. Unlike the first disc of this series (abysmally bad; stay away from it), this album mixes a bit of everything. Be forwarned, not all of these tracks are strictly "progressive," nor are they all "trance," or "raver," or "techno," or even "house." But these are fine distinctions that you'll only hear bandied about between clubbers who are so busy defining the music that they don't have time to enjoy it.
If what you want is an introduction to the rhythms and structures that house music first grew out of, this mix isn't bad at all. I will say that, if you just sit down and listen to this record from beginning to end, you'll probably start noticing some overt similarities between the songs, but, on the other hand, this CD wasn't made to be listened to by someone who is sitting down. Unless that person is driving 80 mph through the mountains.
For the most part, these songs achieve their goal. You have Darude being Darude in "Feel the Beat." IIO pulls off sublimely liquid moves in the remix of "Rapture" (although the song is about three minutes too long). In "Pitchin'," Hi-Gate doesn't throw any fancy curves, but it is one heck of a fast ball. Finally, "Who Am I" and "Omnibus" both remain guilty pleasures of mine (incredibly, incredibly guilty), in spite of the fact that the former borders on head-banging techno and the latter is about as derivative as a house song gets (and that's pretty damn derivative).
Watch out, though. It's pretty hard to find any house CD that doesn't occasionally slip on its own formula. The castrated vocals on "Keep Control" suck the life out of the song. I can't stand it when any song, like "Phatt Bass," keeps demanding that I "listen to the phatt bass that will send the blood coursing through your veins." (If you have to tell your audience to listen, you're doing something wrong.) And songs like "Dooms Night (Revisited)" and "Palladio" seem horribly out of place.
Unlike Volume 1 of this series (which plays like it was mixed by someone with a bad concept of "catchy" and a tendency to eat too much sugar), this volume has something going for it: a handful of truly invigorating songs. If you really want to jump into house music, and are hoping to start from the ground up, consider this album the doors into the lobby.
Those of you who are more seasoned? Well, this might just be a bookmark to remember in your own musical evolution. After all, this may not be The Best of House, like the label says, but some of it is still a heckuva lot of fun.
Oldies, but goodies.......2005-02-28
Songs I really liked: *Hi-Gate-Pitchin' and *Derb- Derb both because of the progression, *Sono-Keep Control because it's an all-around good song with good vocals, *Massiv-Who Am I because of the good "old school rave" feel it gives me when I listen, *Laut Sprecher-Omnibus even though it reminds me a little too much of Darude's Sandstorm, I love how it drops everything in the middle of the song then slowly progresses back up to the original beat. Gives me MAJOR goosies! Everything else on this cd was good, classic stuff, too.
The only song that I can't stand hearing is Phat Bass. There's not even any bass in the song! You think it's going to build up to this awesome bassline, but all you get is some cheesy synth notes. It's the cheesiest song I've ever heard because of that.
I liked it very much........2004-09-27
get a 10-foot pole ready..........2003-01-28
Should be melted into something useful.......2002-11-05
The rest are unmixed radio edits of hi-energy/drum roll/breakdown/pompous synth trance, all variations of the Darude "Sandstorm" theme, including his own on "Feel the Beat." Worst offenders "Phatt Base" (which has none) and "Who Am I" (answer: a nobody) and "Palladio" (referencing the strings melody from that diamond jeweler commercial) are an embarrassment to music.
This disc can only contribute to dance by being melted down for disco ball parts.

Product Description
For those who love pure, unadulterated, masterful rock n roll, look no further than the Best of the EssBee CD s Volume Two by the fabulous Sprague Brothers. From their earliest recordings in 1990 through their highly acclaimed Hightone CD s, the Sprague Brothers have forged a clear and steady path, as leader Frank Lee Sprague says, Influenced by none, inspired by many. With their roots in hometown Wichita Falls, Texas, the Sprague Brothers travel the musical map, fusing their love for the music of fellow Texans Buddy Holly and Bobby Fuller with a touch of surf here and a touch of Merseybeat there, all blended into a superb and remarkable brand of rock n roll uniquely Sprague. Reviewers around the world lauded El Toro Records first outstanding roundup of EssBee recordings. Vintage Guitar described Sprague originals as uniformly impressive and their music as multidimensional. This second volume of EssBee recordings features songs from several albums previously released in extremely limited quantities. High spots are many: Chris Sprague s Angelyne is a chugging rocker, incorporating an insistent riff and sinuous lead guitar. His All Night Long pays homage to Bobby Fuller with its impossibly catchy and upbeat melody and effective massed backing vocals by Frank Sprague. The brothers tackle two early Buddy Holly rockabillies, the bass slappin Down the Line, and rollicking Gotta Get You Near Me Blues. Both Holly and the Sprague Brothers recorded their versions at the Nesman Recording Studios in Wichita Falls, Texas. Known for innovative arrangements, the Sprague Brothers reinvent Frankie Ford s Sea Cruise as a swinging rocker combining both country and British Invasion flourishes. They turn the Everly s peppy So How Come into a tender ballad featuring some of their most heartfelt singing. The rumbling, eerie surf of Diamond Head, and lightning fast guitar runs of Pickin Peppers once again demonstrates multi-instrumentalistInternational Music:
