You are such a bitter person. I read your review where you called the music "gay." It's your own fault you didn't win the Grammy to two lip sinking deuches. All you did was shout over other peoples music. Look where it got you anyway: broke and preaching the gospel with two "hyped" knees that will not work. Too legit to quit eh? I even saw these two in the New Orleans Arena in 91 as the headliner. They came on right after "Information Society" who was one dude with a drum machine and a Midi Interfacer. You have to compare the music itself to the rest of the crap in the late 80's early 90's. Actually, compared to everythinng else i did drugs to in the eighties, it's some of the best I've ever rolled to.

I just absolutely love this album. It's my daily soundtrack to my workouts with "Sit and Be Fit". I throw on my leg warmers and pink full body leotard and go to town on my sagging glutes. It has sooo many solid tracks, and I always find myself (pretending) to sing along!!! A must buy for any gay man.

Despite what you think of these guys (or whoever sung their material), some of their songs were great. Girl I'm Gonna Miss You, Blame It On The Rain and Get Your Number. But even as a fan of theirs back in the day, I don't recall all of these songs being 'hits'. I think this is a poor attempt to make a little more money. Sure the music is ok, but if you already own their main cd (or cassette as the case may be), then this purchase is totally unnesessary.

Amazon Screwed Up On This One.......2006-06-13

I spend perhaps $10,000 a year with Amazon and rarely have I ever been unhappy. But after paying top dollar for this cd I was very unhappy to find that I cant put it on my Ipod. I am a Cruise ship worker, I have no "home" so I put music on ipod and leave CD's in storage. This is a total waste of $25 for me.

Greatest Hits? In What Country.......2005-07-23

OK, I will admit up front that I do not own this CD. And after reading the track list and the reviews, I will not be buying this CD either. And what do you get for your nearly $30 (with shipping)? Well, you get one or two original hits, a handful of Chicago remakes and a lot of songs I've never heard before. And they have the nerve to call this collection of songs his "Greatest Hits?"
I can't help but wonder if Peter Cetera had any input on the production of this CD. For his sake and reputation, I hope not. Where are songs like Daddy's Girl, One Good Woman and Next Time I Fall (with Amy Grant)? I'd recommend that you spend the money on his other studio CD's and make your own Greatest hits CD that you can play on all machines. Sorry PC, but this is sloppy and inexcusable and does not deserve the title of "Greatest Hits." One final nail in the coffin of this CD. The editorial review makes reference to the song 'Hard To Say I'm Sorry' but I don't see it in the track list anywhere. Folks, save your money and wait for a better Peter Cetera collection that will live up to the name of Greatest Hits because this one does not.

While I understand why the RIAA industry and record labels want to protect their music - don't sell me things that won't play on certain players and computers. That is about as close to stealing as you can get. Isn't there laws about false advertisment? And why is Amazon not doing anything or even warning people?

After paying my money and waiting four weeks to get this CD, I see that there is print - so small on the back of the CD that only perfect vision could read under strong lights - stating that it will not play on a computer. What about my car - it doesn't play there either.

Shame on you Amazon for selling things like this without fair warning. Even cigarette companies print the warning so people can read it.

Ok Peter...what happened? Sorry folks but this CD is quite a let down for me even as a huge Chicago as well as a Peter Cetera fan. I would have thought if he were going to do a collection of "greatest" hits he would have delved a bit deeper and come up with more than this. Most of these I haven't even heard and new versions of old classics? PASS. Leave well enough alone guys. One more thing I want to rant about and thats this..does ANYONE besides me remember Peter's first solo record? Remember "Livin in the Limelight"? That tune STILL kicks ass! Why isn't it on here? why isn't it even on CD? Peter still has an awsome voice as ever but I personally would like to see him grow a pair and rock like he used to with his chicago bandmates...nuff said.

Love Drupi. What else to say? I spent years with him in my car. We don't speak Italian but surely we can sing along now. I can't think of anyone here who comes close.
In UK Chris Norman, the erstwhile member of Smokie comes close in style. They're both awesome.
Their style is light on ears nestled in acoustic guitars with a raspy voice on top weaving very sweet melodies.
Drupi flows like honey. Awesome.

Great collection of G Rap's earlier hits.......2006-06-07

This is a must have if you claim to be a true hip-hop fan. One of the greatest MC's and story tellers ever in rap, and one of the original innovatiors in hip hop, they pieced together some of G Rap's best songs from 1986 - 1995. 12 of the 14 are songs off his albums with DJ polo and the last 2 songs are from his 1995 "4,5,6" album. Of the 14, 3 are classics, 2 are almost classic, 2 are ok, and the other 5 are good. Production is great for the time most of the songs were released. Marley Marl does 6 songs, G Rap does 2 and co-produces 2 with Sir Jnx & Eric B. Tone & Poke, Buckwild, T-Ray, Large Professor all do 1 song. Amust have hip hop album featuring some of the greatest songs from the golden age of hip hop.

Karrine Steffans Baby Daddy.......2006-04-23

As if yall don't know, Karrine Steffans aka "Superhead" baby daddy is none other than Kool G Rap aka 'Nathaniel Wilson'. I can not support his album for the simple fact he beat up Karrine and abandon his son Naiim! Yeah, I used to listen to his music until I read Karrine's book and if you look at the last picture where she and her son took together you can tell that damn fool had beat her ass!!!! I was in a domestic dispute before, but damn! I can't support this man, if someone is going to hit and nobody didn't hit his moms ( Rip Mrs. Wilson). So why rate his music when he did all of this and don't take care of himself? The reason I said it because this fool thought about a luscious lifestyle instead of his health. Kool have seizures folks! Instead of all that money he was spending he shoulda took care of himself a little better, instead of Karrine! KOOL G RAP is a must have in any collection.......2006-02-05

I have all of G Raps albums, he is well known amongst other rappers even these commecial rappers. I think that anyone who appreciates good original raw rap music should buy not just this album but all of them, you will not be disappointed trust me.

I can even go out on a limb and say even those whom don't like rap should listen to his albums, their is a good chance they will be converted. His flow is unmatched, stories most of them true are artistically put on wax like none other. For all those people who listen to Pac, Biggy, Jay-z, Nas, Big PUN, Method Man etc...FYI G rap was their favorite rapper you do the math

Kool G is an old skool N.Y. champ and always has been, the only reason I didn't give this a 5 is cause it doesn't have enough trax from 4,5,6 which is one of his best, that album really showed how he changed with the times and always stayed a step above the competition. Before and since the symphany with Big Daddy, Master Ace and Craig G, he's a rap legend whether you like his personal life or not.
He's the original gangster story telling rapper, definitely an inspiration for the late great PUN.
If you love rap you need to hear Kool G Rap.

the cd is of a very high quality being able to be played in all machines without problem, which is not the case with cd's from other suppliers. amazon cd's are obviously pressed to redbook standards and therefore a delight to listen too

One of the Worst Songs I've ever heard in my life.......2006-12-26

They played "Just a Friend" on the radio the other day and I was reminded of just how incredibly horrible that song really was. This guy has a terrible voice--for a rapper! Think about that statement for a moment.

The tinking piano and plodding music and weird rhymes...this sounds almost like a parody of a rap song. Was that what he was shooting for? Is he making fun of how awful rap music can be?

I see the other glowing reviews here and wonder if there's some kind of colossal joke being played on everyone. Because, man...this is horrendous.

Clown Prince of Rap.......2005-08-10

On the eve of the gangster crap that junktified hip hop for years to come and would-be rap preachers who rarely read books but tried to blindly lead the blind, the Biz (who I had the good fortune to enjoy at a concert once) kept it real by staying true to his game of comedy hip hop and funny stories with his unique class clown persona. Even wehn his Cds did not sell well, he remained a beloved and popular figure in hip hop. Here is where you'll see why.

This is all the good stuff minus "Alone Again" (which is was banned due to a lawsuit. Too bad, as it was a pretty good ong as I recall). "Make the music with your mouth Biz" (which unleashed this super-lunatic madman supreme among the world) along with "Biz Going Off," the all-too comically true anthem of fairweather friendship "The Vapors", the likeably dumb "Spring Again" (Biz does Barry White here-beleive it or not) and that classic orchestra of musical stupidity "Just a Friend" which was make you drop your jaws in disbelief upon first listen (look, this tune is IMPOSSIBLE to describe on paper without hearing the "chorus") but will make you roll with laughter upon subsequent listening.

Yeah, the Biz is a hoot. The Fool man cometh. Unforutantely, this includes the sickening "Picking Boogers" and at least has the sense to include the equally nauseating "Toilet Stool Rap." In either case, if you need a good belly laugh from one of the true clown princes of rap after a hard day at work, then this is for you.

Why couldn't this guy have picked an album he hated to do his 1-star Rating experiment with?! Goodness knows there are plenty of Lindsay Lohan albums out there just asking to be knocked down a peg or two. Biz doesn't deserve that. He's one of the most underrated East Coast rappers out there, and I just wanted to put in my two cents to undo this immature prank.
