About the Artist
Based in Brownsville, Texas, Triste Ernesto formed in 1994 from some of the top rock musicians of the Brownsville, Texas and Matamoros, Mexico scene; all getting together to pursue a common musical vision of Spanish Rock.

Many people has asked the meaning of the name Triste Ernesto. Luis Hernandez, leader of Triste Ernesto, explains, I had read somewhere that the name "Ernesto" means "earth". So, Triste Ernesto means "poor earth", and it is meant to be ironic because our music is meant to make people forget their problems.

On its'own the music of Triste Ernesto is captivating but Triste Ernesto goes the extra mile on stage by making use of unique wardrobe and special effects.

...backyard barbeques, at the beach, anywhere you need good upbeat rock en espanol to help create a fun mood. These guys play great and are obviously having a good time on this album. But don't take my word for it, check out all those RealAudio sound samples conveniently provided for you!

FRESH and Interesting.......2000-11-17

I think this album is fresh and interesting. There's a little bit of everything from a ballad to a hard rocking roller coaster ride. I beleive they deserve the exposure so everyone can get on this rocket ride called rock n roll. Make sure to Buy it!
