Eddie Minnis is back with a collection of twelve original songs. Eddie has been creating music for over 30 years. This album contains a variety of the rhythms of the Bahamian rake n' scrape music. His lyrics are funny and satirical in his songs about the Bahamian culture and lifestyles. An accomplished painter, the Character "Granny" dates back to his daily cartoon of the early 1970's. She represents the older voice of the Bahamas. Music arrangements on this album were assisted by former BahaMen member Fred Ferguson with rhythm guitar played by Ira Storr.

A Great Bahamian CD!.......2001-04-04

Eddie Minnis has always striven to produce fun and entertaining Bahamian CD's, but Tropical Waves is by far his best to date. What makes this CD so great is that it has a very diverse set of songs. They range from humourous ("Church Out, Crab Crawlin", a song where a band of crabs interrupts a church service) to inspirational ("Keep Hope Alive"). These are all original songs sung and written by Eddie Minnis in the traditional Bahamian Rake and Scrape manner. A must for any family, Bahamian or not!
