Breath of Life is a selection of sacred song offerings recorded by the White Horse Singers of Mission, SD. The White Horse Singers are highly regarded ceremonial singers who have seven recordings to their credit. Breath of Life is their first recording with Pilamaye Recordings.

Breath of Life contains 15 cuts, including sun dance, heyoka, and healing songs, in their original format, together with liner notes that describe the story and origin of the songs.

This is a great CD. No where have I been able to find an accompilation of Heyoka songs. I believe this release is just another success for the White Horse singers to add to the other 8+ releases. Once again Elva's voice carries through the ethers to send chills to the spine of the listener.

This CD is an unbelievably moving collections of powerful traditional Lakota songs. The songs have an incredible timeless power. Also a series of Heyoka songs that are almost impossible to find recordings of. It is extremely rare to find an authentic recording like this. Bravo to Amazon for carrying it!
