The spirit of India and indeed, every sovereign nation thrives on patriotism. Today’s world has seen many families emigrating in search of greener pastures, yet the longing for their home country follows them wherever they go. Patriotic songs enhance each individual’s identity, reminding them of their roots and setting off nostalgic chords of the heart.

These songs aim at bringing together not only Indians, but the entire global population to join in and celebrate truth, justice and freedom. The central focus of this album is to celebrate the spirit of independence and peace throughout the world.

This album highlights the need for unity in diversity, perseverance when faced with adversity, and compassion in the face of malice. Haunting Melody.......2005-08-17

This album leaves one breathless...the selection of songs is simple wonderful and the presentation melodious. Both Rajasree and Shromona have sung all the songs beautifully and the music orchestration is also very nice. This album is a must for all Indians living abroad and all those who miss their motherland.

I would like to meet her!.......2005-08-01

I was very impressed by the song sung by Shromona Mukherjee. Her song "kar chale hum fida" was very touching. She has a very fresh voice and I would definitely like to meet her someday, if possible! I read about her upbringing and it doesn't seem as if she has spent so many years abroad because her style of singing is very Indian. I feel this is a very good quality since many Indians living in India have forgotten their own language!

Interestingly different!.......2005-08-01

I found the song "saare jaha se acha" very interesting because of the fast rhythm pattern used. It is very different from what has been usually heard over the years. The ending of the song gave me a very strong sense of belonging to my home country.

The song "Insaf ki dagar pe" reminds me of my childhood, since we have grown up listening to and singing along with this song. It really made me emotional!

I really loved listening to the variety of songs in this CD. There were sombre songs, as well as lively songs. My favourite is "O majhi" because it is very sweet and melodious.
