Customer Reviews:
Great Debut.......2004-07-08
Dabo's first solo album. Although a couple years old I still enjoy this one a lot. Great beats and rhymes.
Dabo is Amazing!.......2004-02-26
Dabo is one of Japans best rappers, if you like Hip Hop regardless of the language barrier check out DABO is amazing!
Check him out at http://www.universal-music.co.jp/defjam/
This ummm...to be honest, sounded like horse dung.......2004-01-19
My friend told me to buy this CD when I was in tokyo, so I did, and it Stunk! I listened to whole song, and practically barfed out my lungs. He doesn't know how to rap for schnizzles. And also, the beat sounds like a little 4 yrs old playing with pots and pans. A CD I would like to reccomend is EMINEM! The real shizz is Eminem. Buy his CD's, not DABO's.
I don't even know what he's rapping about..........2002-07-08
but it sure sounds good. I heard a song played at a shoe store in Tokyo while visiting and I asked the salesman what is was and he showed me the CD case. I said I wanted to buy a Japanese rap CD and I noticed he had 3 singles out and the label was Def Jam so I figured why not. I can listen to this CD even though I have no idea what he's talking about. The beats are good and his flow is good. If you're only gonna buy one Japanese rap album, this is it. It has an American feel. Just a little background. I know rap and hip hop well; I grew up in NY and DC and have listened all the way from the beginning.
Japan's illest MC.......2002-03-25
Noone can touch Dabo right about now. In any continent, Dabo is the illest. On his debut CD he comes off with the flyest beats, rhymes and deliverence. Even if you can't understand Japanese you will understand his flow and feel his presence. Track number 8 "Pinky" got him mad airplay in Japan and is a smooth rap with female R&B singing for the chorus. Track number 10 "Lexxusgucci" is so hot you'll be hating on yourself for not understanding Japanese. Dabo's vocals are laid back, rough and tight. You can't go wrong with this kid.
