BISHOP: ARTIST BIOGRAPHY
Bishop, who is currently circulating underground, is the first artist to emerge from this publishing company, and is the only artist we presently have. The way this kid can spit, and he can hold his solo spot down. At the age of 18, Bishop has written over 250 songs, and has plans to start writing for other people. Born and raised in St. Louis, Missouri, he and his family left that city when he was 12 years old. Now currently living in Newark, New Jersey, where he's held down the fort for the last 6 1/2 years.
It was around 1995 that he took an interest in rapping, and then in July of 1996, he wrote his first song, GHETTO DESTRUCTION, which served as a springboard to forming collaboration with another artist, Mel. That joint was all right!, it showed that the kid had potential. In 1997, Bishop went back into the recording studio to cut his second track, LIVIN' LUXURIOUS (on his current single). That was the track that needed to be released! Written by Bishop, who also Co-Produced along with Rich, the joint was something people needed to hear. Early in 1998, Bishop went once again into the studio to drop, SAMPLE THE SAUCE (another track on his latest single), a track that he both wrote and produced.
This cat is multi talented! He is taking it straight to the streets, selling tapes out the trunk of his car, and handing out flyers all over Jersey, trying to get his name known. People are feeling the flow and he's aiming for the mainstream!
In a competition held on June 22,1998, Bishop performed SAMPLE THE SAUCE, and won 2nd place at the I.A.S. TALENT SHOWCASE COLLABORATION. After the show, an A&R from Def Jam approached him and stated that "she liked what Bishop had done that night". Someone from Hot 97 and that A&R was supposed to be at that next show he was scheduled to do, but it was canceled. A show at Club Jhanes was held February 19, 1999, in which he once again performed his track SAMPLE THE SAUCE. Although that show wasn't a battle type situation, he flowed wet. Too many shows that he did had fallen through. After so long, you get tired of hearing the same ol' story. So, early in March 1999, he started his own publishing company.
It's hard to really compare him to another, because his flow and producing is original. This is the kid to watch out for in 2000. For Bishop, the best is yet to come! bishop@bishopenterprises99.com

Money Spot (Part I), is the first album to come out of this camp. Artist, Bishop released his first underground single on May 10,1999. That work has gotten good reviews to date, but BISHOP ENTERPRISES is in the process of making moves out of Newark, NJ. Setting up this website is just a first step in expanding our voice all over the world, because we can't limit ourselves to one city/state.
Bishop Enterprises' home base is located in Newark, NJ. It's objective is to bring good music and entertainment out of our camp. Bishop Enterprises specializes in writing, producing, and publishing music and books. I see many things out here that aren't Kosher. A lot of people just don't have it in them to be original. I hear a lot of people flowing, but they ain't saying nothing. Artist wanna flow, but they don't know how. Artist have so many ghost writers, that they don't even get to write anything on their songs...I'm not hating on anyone, you have to do what you have to do, but I call it the way I see it! The Committee was originally formed in 1998 by Bishop, and had two members. It has currently grown to four members, and for now we are going to keep it simple, with people we can trust.
Committee was a drug team out of Newark, their objective was getting money. They grew apart at the end of 1998, and went their separate ways. Then, Bishop came up with a New Year's resolution, to get out the drug game and try and get signed. Now the Committee is a rapping click, holding the fort down in Newark. Bishop Enterprises is going to start with Bishop, get him mainstream, then snatch up other artist in the bricks with talent.
Our long term goal is to get all the drug dealers, off the street, by offering them something better, making money the right way. Whether they rap, sing , act or whatever, we will do our best to employ them. This won't happen until we make it big. So first things first, drop tracks...be hot...and get money!
