We were looking for a good source to introduce our children (4 and 6) to various classical composers and melodies. We had tried one of the Baby Einstein tapes, but all the music was done on synthesizers. This compilation is done with real orchestras.
It has been a great tool in getting the kids familiar with all different types of composers - from Baroque and Classical, to Romantics and someone modern composers.

    first things first - amazon misplaced this album under a different band name. the band is NAGISA NI TE, and they also have a few other recordings. (they just put out "feel" under a domestic label.)

    i first heard this band when i was introduced to MAHER SHALAL HASH BAZ, another japanese psych-folk band whom they've collaborated with. both bands and their respective albums are put out by geographic records, a new imprint on domino records uk, who's operated by stephen pastel of the pastels. check out the new and amazing geographic compilation, "you don't need darkness to do what you think is right." the song, "me, on the beach" on the compilation is the best on the cd, but a different version than on this album = both are great, by the way.

    check out other geographic releases - bill wells trio, maher shalal hash baz, empress...i haven't been this excited about a label since sarah records, 4AD and too pure.

    nagisa ni te is simply a great band, and this album compiles tracks from their past albums = beautiful, folk with a twist, and then some. check it out!
