A Great Album!.......2007-01-12
2 - When You Tell Me That You Love Me - Same as track 1. This song was done by the American Idol finalists and is available on their C.D.
5 - She's Back - I think this is my favorite song on the C.D. It is a very upbeat tune.
11 - Change Your Mind - I love this one and it is kind of like a 1970's song.
THE ABOVE SONGS ARE MY FAVORITES ON THIS ALBUM.
I also like Amazing, That's Where You Find Love, Color My World, and Heart Without a Home. This is a very good album and would go great with their Unbreakable C.D. You can listen to it time and time again.
I don't really listen to the songs Desperado, In This Life, or Hit You With the Real Thing (this is a weird song for them; something like NSync would do).
A song for every mood!.......2006-08-27
Romantic ballads, that only Westlife can deliver. Amazing will be their next #1. Colour my world will also top the charts.
The boys inject some Motown sound with the fun, make you want to dance, Hit you with the real thing. This CD is a great mix from beginning to end. Awesome vocals and harmonies.
Westlife continues successfully because they know who they are and LOVE what they are accomplishing together!

Album Description
Quality music at a great price, this collection features 20 tracks including 'How Deep Is The Ocean', 'No Strings', 'Puttin' On The Ritz' & 'Heatwave'. The Swingles have, unusually, incorporated electric keyboards, horns and drums into their usually acappella approach, resulting in some thoroughly modern interpretations of Berlin's classics. weak voices.......2006-01-21
Dont waste your money on this cd. There are a lot of singers on this cd. that dont have the voices and the range and richness to be singing this music. buy one with the best of the singers who sang in the stage productions.
LLOYD WEBBER'S BEST OF IN A SINGLE DISC.......2005-01-07
So here are my thoughts about the tracks in this one:
1. "Superstar" and "I don't know how to love him" are both from the concept album of "Jesus Christ Superstar". They sound wonderful as ever.
2. "Don't cry for me Argentina" is beautifully performed by Julie Covington, who was Evita at the 1976 concept album. She sounds like Madonna, only much better and the London philharmonics are the best orchestra ever used in this song. David Essex sings "Oh what a circus" with a strong voice, in my view, much better than Mandy Patinkin.
3. From "Tell me on a Sunday" we have "Take that look of your face" sung by Marti Webb. This studio version blends perfectly Marti's voice and the strong back vocals.
4."Memory" from "Cats" is probably the most famous of all Webber's songs, recorded by numerous artists. The one here is from the London cast recording, sung by Elaine Paige. I love Elaine's version very much, but this one is not the definite one. Her best rendition of this song, with the much matured voice, can be heard in "Cats" DVD or in her latest two-disc compilation, "Centre stage: The very best of Elaine Paige", issued in May 2004.
5. "Pie Jesu" is the best known song from Webber's "Requiem". Sarah Brightman is joined by a young boy soprano Paul Miles-Kingston in this solemn deliverance. Very pretty.
6. "The Phantom of the Opera" is represented by three songs in their single versions. In the song of the same title, we have Sarah Brightman and Steve Harley sounding very appropriate, although my favourite will always be the one with Sarah and Michael Crawford, which can be found on the American version of this compilation. Cliff Richard and Sarah sing the lovely ballad "All I ask of you" with passion, and Cliff has a wonderful warmth in his voice. Finally, Michael Crawford gives his unique and mesmerising interpretation in "The music of the night".
7. "Aspects of love" boast here with its top song, "Love changes everything", performed wonderfully by Michael Ball. It was his #1 hit and is probably one of the most beautiful love anthems ever written.
8. "The Joseph and his amazing Technicolor dreamcoat" was Webber's first musical and the signature song "Any dream will do" is performed here by Jason Donovan with a youthful warmness. Wonderful pop piece.
9. For the 1992 Barcelona Olympics, Webber wrote, together with his long-time lyricist Don Black, this next song, "Amigos para siempre or Friends for life". It's a nice duet between Sarah Brightman and Jose Carreras, their voices are a perfect fit. The melody itself is neat, especially when the orchestra takes the lead.
10. "Sunset Boulevard" is marked here with two songs. Barbra Streisand's powerful voice shines all the way through in "As if we never said goodbye"; it's a shame she never played Norma Desmond on Broadway, since Patti LuPone wasn't allowed to take her Norma to New York, and Glenn Close butchered the role. "The perfect year" is here in its single version, sung splendidly by Dina Carroll, and it sounds much better with this orchestration than in the show on stage.
11. As we approach the end, we have an Academy Award winner, that is, "You must love me" with Madonna, from the 1996 movie version of "Evita". This is another wonderful ballad with the haunting cello and piano solo. It just proves that Lloyd Webber and Tim Rice were the best collaborators. They really should do another musical together.
12. The last two songs are from "Whistle down the wind". The first song has the same title and it's a pop single performed by Tina Arena. She has a really strong voice and the drums and guitars here are a well made combination. Boyzone's "No matter what" was a huge pop hit in the charts. Again, we have a song with the suitable orchestrations and vocals.
All in all, this CD is a must have for all the Webber fans. It works well as the background music or on the headphones. The booklet contains some pictures and an introductory text. The sound quality is excellent. Every song here really is a pure gold.

Superior Version?.......2007-03-31
One of the best things about bands like Stryper and Barren Cross is that you didn't have to be a Christian to enjoy their music. You just had to enjoy hard rock and metal. Like Christian rock pioneers Petra, Whitecross was always in full evangelical mode with their music, and while that's certainly their prerogative, it seems that could turn off the type of casual listeners that the band was presumably trying to reach in the first place. At that point, the band is left preaching to the faithful. There's definitely a sense that if you're not already on board with the band's message, you aren't going to be welcome.
In the end, your enjoyment of Whitecross in general, and the Triumphant Return in particular, is going to come down to one factor - whether your musical tastes are driven more by the music or the message. Whitecross was certainly a competent rock band, but I have a hunch that most people bought their albums because they were a Christian band than any other reason. For my part, I know that when I reach for a Barren Cross CD it's because I want to hear some solid American power metal, and when I listen to Believer it's to hear some truly innovative death metal. Their religious convictions are merely an interesting aside to their music. Aside from an unwavering commitment to their faith (which I can certainly admire even if I'm not a believer myself), what does Whitecross really offer that you couldn't hear from dozens of other 80's hard rock bands?
NOTE: I'm curious as to what exactly makes the Japanese version so "superior" when it's not remastered and doesn't feature any bonus material.

A Bit long on the Truth.......2004-01-14
Norman Whitfield, was Songwriter and producer for both groups
at the same time. The led to a lot of crossover meterial from
the Tempts to the Truth. Hence you have "What it is" that gave
words to "Hum along and Dance" a Temps instrumental.
Norman Whitfield described "The Undisputed truth as a cross
between Sly Stone and The 5TH Demension on my copy of the original LP(on which I base the review) They weren't as funky
as Sly nor as pleasent to the ears as the 5th.
But the carved their own niche on EVERY song they did,
whether you liked it or not you never forgot their version.
So hear The Undisputed TRUTH for yourself and decide
If you can handle the Truth.
