The Girl can sing, the girl is hot, the girl is sexy, and the girl is a WOMAN. It is obvious from the debut CD, to her very recent Cd she has matured (not alot, since she was so lyrically motivated at all times) however I do not own this CD, BUT I do have the promo copy of, "One Day In Your Life/Hex mac Mix" the remix I have is from Italy and about 10 min in length, (I would ask prior to purchase...the time of this unreleased until now remix.) Anastacia, has been a favorite of mine from the "Im outta Love" days (again Hex Mix)and she has put out some absolutly excellent remixes via her favorite DJ Remixers, who are G** or G** friendly. (lets just say the world does not revolve around a straight society, everyone is proudly different). She, to me... is a woman with her head on her shoulders, and knows what market to target to "Pay her Dues". The recent CD "self titled" is well worth the price, as is ANY of her Cd's and/or singles remixed. She speaks openly about having Breast Cancer, and in the latest CD relase, you can hear her anger as if "why did this happen 2 me?". being into lyrics so much I can see why that Cd is so unique, it really rocks, (far different from the former 2) with anger and frustration, and she as I, express...with words or poems etc...Her former 2 CD's are EXCELLENT as well, some songs bring you to tears, the ballads, etc...and then it turns around with a catchy tune like "Im Outta Love, or the Cd "here" One Day in Your Life" all 3 released CD's are just superb, as is EVERY one of her remixed singles, and believe me I have them all. When it comes to lyrics, with a musical beat, funky beat, or dance beat, $$$$ does not matter, Anastacia is great...NO she is more than great she is a fighter, who I adore, and admire, for being open about her battle with Breast Cancer, on her latest CD "Anastacia" on the enclosed booklet. She is a stuning and beautiful woman (in all aspects), she is probably one of my ALL TIME top 10 for her pride and courage. All my faith, and Blessings. Looking forward to the REMIX of "Welcome 2 My Truth" from the latest self entitled CD. The video is excelent, and a remix would really spice it up even more. Excellent song, excellent CD's, voice, beauty etc....but most of all excellence in self fighting PRIDE. Jason

Inspiration! Go For It! This Girl Was Made For Singing!!!!!!.......2004-03-13

WOW! To everyone out there, this CD has given me so much inspircation. The songs in this album are not what I've heard in a long time from any artist except Mariah Carey on past albums ad Whitney Houston. This album also contains a bonus CD with a few rare remixes and great tracks that you won't find anywhere else on CD(except perhaps on CD single's but not all in one album). I remeber before I bought this CD I saw ONE DAY IN YOUR LIFE on TV and I waited until this album came out then I bought. I didn't buy the original release. two CD's full of great music. The tracks I liked the most was on CD 1: Paid My Dues, You'll Never Be ALone, One Day In Your Life (MY FAVORITE TRACK ON THE ALBUM!), How Come The World Won't Stop, Why You'd Lie To Me and Don't Stop Doin't It. CD 2: I Though I Told You That (Feat Kelly Price), BOOM, One Day In Your Life (Hex Hector/Mac Quayle Club Mix) and the two live tracks from her tour in Japan. Her voice makes it seems so full of passion and stright from the heart.
It's not just the songs. But her voice. It is so unique and right from the soul. Her voice has given me something to think about. Her voice has been used in the right areas of inspircation especially on tracks like One Day In You Life and You'll Never Be Alone. I recommend anyone who likes great music to try this album. You'll not regret it. This is a singer that is very distinctive to all other artists of this decade. Anastacia is a tough girl made for kick ass and great music.

Buy THIS one, not the one-CD version.......2003-11-03

Her voice is great, but I think she should work with other songwriters. On her previous album there were about 4 good songs and on this one 3 of the 6 songs I usually listen is actually on the bonus CD. "Paid My Dues", "Freak of Nature" and "Why'd You Lie To Me" are good, the other songs should be as good as these are. "Thought I Told You That" is GREAT, and I love Anastacia's version of the classic Disney hit "Someday My Prince Will Come" (cleverly sampling the original by Adriana Castelotti at the beginning, then the new version begins... it's so COOL.)

The remixes are quite long with too much of instrumental part, and as for the live versions, I think they are usually put on CDs only if the artist really couldn't come up with something else, still the live version of "Freak of Nature" is cool.

One of the Best Albums in Mike Tramp's Career.......2005-03-14

Freak of Nature was Mike Tramp's band formed in the early 90's. They were one of the most amazing bands where each member had a crucial role in the band, but unfortunately they never got the attention they deserved. With the grunge bands being popular at the time, and Mike Tramp being the former singer of the 80's band White Lion, there was no interest from the labels in the USA, so Freak of Nature embarked on a vast European tour playing hundreds of clubs. They toured extensively throughout Europe and Japan opening for many bands including Helloween and Dio, promoting their self-titled debut release.

This album marks the beginning of Tramp's interest in a heavier and darker musical scope, employing two guitarists and a fantastically solid rhythm section. Mike Tramp probably never sang as great as he did in Freak of Nature, before and after this band. His vocals were at his best, as were his songwriting skills. His lyrics were thought-provoking, angry and extremely emotional. The band behind him are equally intense, and each member takes on an integral role in the compositions as well. All songs on this disc are written by the entire band, and it certainly shows.

The album is quite multi-facetted, starting with the fast-paced "Turn the Other Way". Most White Lion fans, including myself, were quite shocked to hear this song, as we all sort of expected from Mike Tramp a similar band to White Lion, but he managed to surprise everyone. The following songs on the album are even heavier. "Possessed" is perhaps one of the greatest songs Mike Tramp has ever written; it begins with bleak acoustic guitars, quickly developing into a mind-blowing Heavy Metal anthem. Mike's lyrics are about child abuse, drugs, and social injustice. Actually, there are songs here that focus more on Tramp's lyrics, rather than just the music. "What Am I", "World Doesn't Mind" and "People" may not sound as strong as the other numbers here, but their lyrics are among the most cerebral in Tramp's career.

Two of my favourite tunes here are "92" and "If I Leave". They both start out mid-tempo, but they are so strong and diverse musically that they stand head and shoulders above the other tracks. "92" is about Tramp's former FON-partner, Oliver Steffensen. He obviously wrote the song when Steffensen changed his mind about being part of the band. However, the song also deals with Tramp's grandmother's death, making it even more personal to him. "If I Leave", on the other hand, is full of crunchy rhythm work and solid guitar riffs. Jerry Best and Johnny Haro prove to be a killer rhythm duo. Haro's drum fill in the middle of the section always gives me goosebumps, whilst Jerry Best was always a key member in the sound of Freak of Nature. Mike Tramp's vocals in the second half of this song are perhaps some of the greatest, most immortal moments in the history of rock music. Sounds too exaggerated? Well, I grew up with this disc. I was 15 when I bought it, and literally wore this disc out. Both Freak of Nature albums are among my all-time favourites anyway.

The album is dedicated to two of Tramp's heroes, Phil Lynott and Freddie Mercury. I'm sure they would both be proud if they heard this disc. I know this album is a little difficult to track down, and expensive too, but it's worth seeking out for sure. The follow-up to this, Gathering of Freaks, is equally stunning, if not better. They're both essential to any metal fan.

If you are a hardcore KoRn fan like myself, then go out to The Wall or Coconuts and or even buy here on Amazon(only if you want to pay for shippin). The remixes are somewhat depressing, but the sound is great makin up for depressing tunes.

Freak on A Leash is a great song and this CD is a must for any real Korn addict (like me) that wants to collect it all. With 5 versions of the song to pick from you are sure to find at least one that you will like or you may even like them all!

This is one of the better KoRn singles. It's got great mixes of "Freak On A Leash", and, minus the "Freakin' Bitch Mix", they arent parts of the song rearranged in a different order. I liked the Dante Ross mix and the Lethal Freak Mix. If you like the song, check it out.

This is probably in my opinion, one of the best remix cd's I've seen. The main attraction to me is the Butch Vig Remix. I actually prefer that over the original. This cd really gives something for the people who are sick of hearing the original Freak On a Leash, cuz lets face it, MTV knows how to kill a song, but this revives it with new life.
