"Sequoia creates magic with his guitar... one of the most enjoyable evenings of music that I've heard in years."
Product Description
Robert Sequoia began his creative journey as a very young visual artist. After hearing the great Spanish classical guitarist Carlos Montoya in concert, he was inspired to express his vision through music. Sequoia's compositions convey an emotional honesty and sensitivity rarely found in contemporary music. His unique style varies from heart-moving ballads with beautiful, time-enduring melodies, to upbeat, world-influenced compositions. Audiences are consistently inspired by the soothing, harp-like quality of Robert Sequoia's guitar playing and his delicate, fluid touch.
The son of second-generation immigrants, Robert's musical roots go back to his family lineage of Romanian musicians. Sequoia currently lives in Santa Fe, New Mexico, U.S.A., where he continues to record and produce his music for films, television and live performances.

Ten years had passed since Petty's last solid outing (Damn the Torpedoes in 1979), and Full Moon Fever fully resuscitated the artist's career, which--some would say "arguably"--had been losing steam. With the album's four major hits and rave reviews from the critics (these things do not always go hand-in-hand), Petty must have breathed a sigh of relief. He left the Heartbreakers behind, hooked up with musician, writer, and producer Jeff Lynne, and rocked out with "Runnin' Down a Dream," got mellow and introspective on "Free Fallin'" and "A Face in the Crowd," and paid tribute (finally) to the Byrds with a cover of "Feel a Whole Lot Better." He perfected the sing-along guitar-pop song on "Yer So Bad" and had a wild time on "Zombie Zoo." Pure Petty perfection! --Lorry FlemingCustomer Reviews:
it doesn't get much better than this.......2007-03-08
Petty's first solo hit ranks behind most of his other discs.......2006-11-05
This album, is catchy from start to finish, some of the songs are below par but such as the musical spirit, lightheartedness and joy, they come across, each as catchy radio hits.
Free Fallin', I Won't Back Down and Running Down a Dream were solid hits from this release and are up there with his most popular songs especially for the 2nd generation of Petty fans. They are concert staples and are songs that gained him further respect as a songwriter and thrust him to the top, all over MTV, he was hip again and rode the wave of success well into the 90's.
The Apartment Song was a left over from the early to mid 80's and the rest of the songs were written with Jeff. Initially rejected by the record company, this album turned out to be his 2nd highest charting and one of his best selling albums that was nominated for album of the year at the Grammy's.
This album for me ranks in the middle of his catalogue, there are alot of better albums, including his most recent and his earlier works. Pop fans will love this for the songs they always heard on radio, it is a good introductory/early album to buy for new fans. This album is in need of a remaster.
Pretty good..........2006-11-05
Needless to say, the strong points of this album make it worth getting, but if you already have "Anthology" you have every really good song on this album. Personally, although I thought the follow-up "Into the Great Wide Open" did not have as many really strong tracks, it was more consistent overall and had the catchy riffs which would have made up for what is lacking here. Clearly he developed a new style on this record and an ability to not take himself so seriously, but I just thought side B left a lot to be desired and each song kind of ended where it started staying the same throughout with some very throwaway lyrics ("I'm all right. I just feel a little lonely tonight. I'm OK most of the time. I just feel a little lonely tonight").
Check out "Echo" and the soundtrack to "She's the One" for some of TP's most underrated work, this I would say is a tad overrated.
Outstanding Work From Petty - With the Help of Some Wilburys.......2006-10-12
The Traveling Wilburys would release two albums - "Volume 1" and "Volume 3". There was no "Volume 2". However over the years, "Full Moon Fever" has unofficially become "Volume 2". In fact there is a Russian Import version that actually labels "Full Moon Fever" as "Volume 2". As mentioned this was technically a "solo album" by Tom Petty. For years, Petty had recorded with his band - "Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers". While this was a "solo album", there are many of the Heartbreakers that are present on this album. Howie Epstein lends background vocals to two songs - "Love is a Long Road" and "I Won't Back Down". Benmont Tench lends his piano for "The Apartment Song". Finally, Mike Campbell - possibly one of the most sought after musicians in the business contributes throughout the whole "Full Moon Fever" collection - including guitars, mandolin, bass, and keyboards.
When Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers burst on the music scene - they appealed to a wide variety of musical styles including Classic Rock, New Wave, and even Punk. However, I feel that Petty's roots were still in Southern Rock. "Full Moon Fever" definitely isn't rooted in Southern Rock, but it does have a strong incorporation of the guitar-laden sound mentioned. This isn't an album where you are going to hear horns or a string section. While you hear some keyboards, it will be the guitars that are going to be the story of this album - whether it's electric or acoustic, every song will make an integral use of the guitar. On top of that, given Petty's unique voice - this really becomes something special. I give a lot of credit to Lynne for putting this all together. It's kind of ironic that Lynne was able to pull off producing both "Full Moon Fever" and the Traveling Wilburys. Lynne was known for his intricate orchestral arrangements with ELO, yet Lynne finds a way to make the natural guitar-laden sound work for Petty on this collection.
"Full Moon Fever" is known for the "hits" that were spurned off this album - these songs being: "Free Fallin", "I Won't Back Down", and "Runnin' Down a Dream (to a lesser extent "Yer So Bad" and "A Face in the Crowd" were also hits). These are good songs, but surprisingly, I found the "other songs" to be the strong points of this collection. Songs such as "Love is a Long Road", "Feel a Whole Lot Better", "Depending on You", "The Apartment Song", "Alright for Now", "A Mind With a Heart of It's Own", and "Zombie Zoo" were the albums strongest songs. Any of these songs could have easily been released as singles and could have achieved a high level of commercial success.
As mentioned, three of the Wilburys make contributions to this album Roy Orbison lends his background vocals to "Zombie Zoo". George Harrison lends Acoustic Guitar and Background Vocals to "I Won't Back Down". Lynne, while lending his hand at co-producing this album with Petty and Mike Campbell also lends Vocals, Bass, Guitar, and Keyboards to the effort. Who can forget the terrific vocal jam between Petty, Harrison, and Lynne on "I Won't Back Down" - i.e. the classic "Hey Baby!". While Harrison didn't directly contribute to the track "Feel a Whole Lot Better", I'd like to think he had some influence on the cover of the Byrds' "Feel a Whole Lot Better". This cover gives the song a distinct Beatle-sque quality. I give Petty a lot of credit for being able to pull this off. At the same time, Petty also remains true to his Southern Rock roots. "A Mind With a Heart of It's Own" definitely sounds like something Petty would have done with the Heartbreakers. Finally, if you want to hear Tom Petty do a lullaby, listen to "Alright for Now".
Perhaps the most interesting part is when Petty puts an interruption prior to the start of "Feel a Whole Lot Better". This interruption tells CD listeners to "wait" until LP or Cassette listeners are able to flip over their media on their player - most humorous.
The liner notes do include all of the lyrics and all of the musician credits and acknowledgements. Overall, fans of Tom Petty and the Wilburys will not be disappointed with this effort. Although this collection does have a guitar-laden sound, it will have a lot of appeal to the mainstream. This is one collection I highly recommend.
How can you go wrong with Tom Petty?.......2006-07-09

Album Description
East of the Full Moon is a musical meditation on the theme of night, crafted by renowned New Age musician/composer, Deuter. Composed to express the moods of the night, its silence, its soft songs, when the human mind has gone to sleep to dream different dreams, Deuter's graceful music evokes images of the night sky, the moon appearing behind clouds, the world losing its stark colors, and trees becoming just shadows against the moon.
Reviews:
"There's no denying that Deuter has talent. With over a dozen releases to his name and a penchant for some of the most haunting reveries in the genre, the artist is a master of music for relaxation and healing. EAST OF THE FULL MOON, themed after the stillness of the nocturnal hours, features Deuter in top form, with a series of velvety melodies that call to mind a gorgeous night sky. Piano, flute, harp, and keyboards are the main instruments on the album, which are interwoven into a tapestry of dreamy music. The cuts are each slow-paced and reflective, ideal for providing a soothing backdrop for relaxation or meditation."
--Music Design, In Review
"... East of the Full Moon once again clearly illustrates why Deuter has few, if any, peers when it comes to crafting elegant, beautiful music which speaks to the human soul with simplicity, charm, and grace."
--Bill Binkelman, Wind and Wire
"
Deuter's exquisite sense of taste and confidence in the other-dimensional nature of his creations produces music that soothes the spirit, freeing the mind to journey to a place of peace. A few selections include mild percussive beat; the rest flow in an unbroken stream of heart-touching reverie."
--Jason Victor Serinus, Music Critic
"In these busy times there is one musical artist that continues to define quiet joy, warmth, and a musical heart-felt celebration of life. That artist is Deuter. East of the Full Moon should appeal to anyone who is interested in genuine music for meditation, yoga, quiet times, and who may use the music in home, school or office settings to enhance the environment. Recommended!"

This Ohio-bred, L.A.-based long-haired chap writes songs that seem readymade for the emotional climax to a show like The Gilmore Girls. Songs like "Bound by Love" and "Edible" marry classic '80s popcraft (think the Church, Smiths and R.E.M. pre-understandability) with soaring strings and a super anthemic sound that rivals Coldplay or Keane. Other tunes bring straight-ahead rock riffing ("Moment," "Baby Boy") that almost bring to mind the Strokes and Ben Folds working together, while the title song, "Do We Say Bye" and "Crash and Burn" are piano-driven midtempo weepers. For certain, we'll all be hearing more from this pop-rock readymade superstar. --Mike McGonigalCustomer Reviews:

I have NEVER seen two guys on stage create more energy and emotion without a backing band. I went for the headliner and GBF was just as good.
He is touring like crazy now...hooking up his own equipment and carrying it off after his set. If you happen to see his name on a bill in your area do yourself a favor and GO SEE HIM. This guy is gonna go places quick. Remember stories your parents told you about seeing Dylan or The Stones in a little bar before they got big? You'll be saying this about Gran Bel Fisher twenty years from now.

On her first CD in three years, the newly married and pregnant Brandy sounds confident and assured and lets us know that she has found her man (even if it takes a numbing 17 tracks). The stately ballad "He Is" shimmers with unabashed, but never treacly, adoration, as Brandy huskily sighs, "Prince Charming, my angel, my king, my friend." It's the sound of a woman in love, and that sentiment guides this satisfying CD's strongest cuts, from Mike City's tangy title track to the snaky seduction of "Apart," which burnishes Brandy's vocals with a metallic glow. Most of the CD was produced by longtime collaborator Rodney Jerkins, but he overloads Brandy's plate with bombastic, predictable beats that do little to draw listeners in. Full Moon truly glows when the intensity is muted and emotion is in the forefront. --Amy LindenAlbum Description

Brandy's Phases.......2006-11-20
In one word, yes. The arrangements on "Full Moon" divide between the stunning adult balladry & sharper, urban driven dance material. Though the sound is more dark at times, more sensual, & it seems that the transition of adulthood wasn't that hard for her.
On the dance end, you have "What About Us", the lead single. This mechanized, deep grind of a groove was the perfect vehicle for the angst of the subject of a spurned lover. The British two-step inflected "All In Me" is another highlight, & sits next to the dizzying, heavy handed bass laden "I Thought" perfectly. From the urban dance perspective, Brandy paints herself as a modern-day Jody Watley vocally & from a compositonal standpoint. There wasn't a better female empowered anthem that could move you like "What About Us?" at the time since "Looking For A New Love".
For further allusions to Jody comparions, the vocals on the previously mentioned ballads are the true treat. Sensual, probing, emotionally poignant, & convicted. While Brandy didn't handle (beyond some co-write credits) majority of the songwriting, the passion she sings with makes these songs all hers. The title track sets the compostional mood for the ballads. Harder beats, paired with violin & piano work, & Brandy's voice for organic purposes blend here. This pairing of studio wizardry & more soulful elements helps make these ballads warm & inviting.
It drives home the hauntingly spectacular "It's Not Worth It". This song features backing vocals from Michael Jackson, though credit is only listed in the liner notes, it sounds incredible. Brandy's vocals at the fore & Michael's at the back sound like Brandy singing over an old, mournful 1970's soul gem. Other notables include the fitting tribute to the P.M. Dawn classic "I'd Die Without You" (with brother Ray J on vocals), "WOW" wows in it's honesty, & the sweet come-ons that are "When You Touch Me" & "Like This" charm without effort.
Overall, despite the length, "Full Moon" is a rewarding listen. One that brings Brandy's need to connect through thoughts on matters of lonliness, unrequited love, infidelity, true love, romance, & finding oneself in another successfully. Highly recommended.
brandy's best work ever!.......2006-10-31
Fantastic :-).......2006-10-21
Brandy has always been one of my favourites. This cd is one of her best; it's some of her most mature music. It's full of great songs and the beautiful voice that keeps getting better with each release. My favourite tracks here are Full Moon, the beautiful remake of Die Without You, WOW and the stunning Love Wouldn't Count Me Out. She is very talented and her vocal range shines throughout this great cd. If you are a fan of hers, this cd has to be in your collection. It's beautiful and I highly recommend it.
Vocal Prowess Displayed w/ Great Production Too.......2006-10-18
It doesn't hurt that the production is impeccable either. Rodney Jerkins and company create a sonic delight, such as with the ethereally pulsating title track or the technological wonder of "What About Us." Each song seamlessly transitions into the next, creating an album that is enjoyable to listen to and admire from beginning to end
...well, almost. While Brandy's voice is certainly at its best, and the production is top-notch, "Full Moon" isn't without its fillers. Songs like "Can We," "Anybody," and "Love Wouldn't Count Me Out" seems like unneccessary additions to an otherwise great R&B album. Nevertheless, Brandy's "Full Moon" is an influential album for aspiring singers and avid music lovers who admire soulful vocal creativity and skill, and for those who enjoy great musical arrangements to accompany such undeniable talent.
Amazing Album!.......2006-06-08

The CD includes a very interesting music video version of Full Moon and the Shrine. Beautiful, and kind of spooky if you ask me. I don't know what the HDCD is supposed to mean but if it means that a higher quality version of the audio is available, I'm unaware of it. Of course I don't have a HDCD player though.

A Nelson Eddy Tour de Force: Magnificence here on earth.......2006-03-17
Nelson Eddy has never sounded better, aided (1994) by more modern recording techniques, the quality here (even with a disclaimer) is beyond belief. He has got to be one of the premier baritones of all time. Singing Popular tunes adapted from classical themes, he may be without peer. I have a CD of the young Sinatra singing "Full Moon and Empty Arms" to Rachmaninoff's Piano Concerto No. 2. He is not in the same universe with Eddy, whose crisp diction, timbre, fullness, perfect pitch, and passion ~ YES! PASSION! ~ must be heard (hopefully on on quality audio) to be fully appreciated. This is AWESOME. Maybe the best it gets here on earth. This is a wholly magnificent CD if you appreciate really good music, a fantastic baritone, and have a romantic bone in your body. I am astounded. Until today, I had no idea that Nelson Eddy was this good. This CD proves he was.

Simply Beautiful.......2005-09-24
Mr. Galbraith's musicianship is unsurpassed on these deeply moving folksongs that are so expertly and sensitively arranged for his 8 string classical guitar.
The pieces, by the way, are not arranged in "suites" as stated in the aforementioned review. They are grouped by composer, a perfectly fine way to arrange titles on a cd, and no convoluted attempt is being made by Galbraith to give musical "whirlwind tours" or "develop themes" of countries, nor does there need to be.
Mr Galbraith's choice of pieces is absolutely delightful, and his sensitive performance of these varied folk songs transports the listener "in time and space" to the far reaches and ages of the European continent. This is not a "world music" fad presentation here, but beautifully arranged and performed pieces by some of history's time-honored composers whose only intention was to faithfully capture the spirit of the music of their native country. There is no lack of substance either by Mr. Galbraith, or any of the composers on this cd that the previous reviewer states. Quite the contrary. These composers have ably used their craft to capture the folk music of their native countries, plain and simple. And yes, Mr Galbraith's passion in performing them has brought to listeners who are willing to hear, musical gems that will delight from beginning to end on this "In Every Lake the Moon Shines Full" cd. Bravo, Mr. Galbraith. Please give us more of the same!
Absolutely incredible.......2004-04-21

Great Music Great Value.......2006-07-15
The music style is jazz and pop. The instrumentals feature a haunting melody line shadowed by guitar, usually syched with the organ or synthesizer, or in some cases, a few miliseconds after the lead notes. The instrumentals also feature a musical chorus, which I find unusual, and some terrific guitar work.
I will never understand why they did not enjoy the musical success they deserved.
For those of you who don't much about the band, I'll offer some history.
Buzz Feiten was a studio guitarist for among other bands, Stevie Wonder. In the mid 1970's he joined forces with Neil Larsen and formed a band called "Full Moon" who recorded an incredibly classic and great album of the same name, with some personnel of Paul Butterfield Blues Band (after his untimely death). The album was critically acclaimed but did not enjoy commercial success, and was jazzy, rocky and poppy. All in all, a terrific sound.
Neil and Buzz recorded a series of albums together with Neil Larsen being the name artist, and after that played out, recorded these two CD within a year of each other.
The sound has something for everyone. It is jazzy, has pop vocals, and some great rock guitar licks.
This particular CD has some great highlights including:
FULL MOON
"Phantom of the Footlights," a pop jazzy song with some great licks and hooks.
"The Visitor" an instrumental featuring the multi-talents of Neil Larsen on organ and synthesizer.
"Hero's Welcome" Another Neil Larsen haunting instrumental.
LARSEN FEITEN BAND
"Who'll Be the Fool Tonight" A pop vocal song with a terrific melody and some catchy hooks. Great guitar work by Buzz.
"Danger Zone" Another pop song, with a jazz matrix.
"Further Notice" A Neil Larsen melody/instrumental which, as usual, as a haunting melody and chorus.
"Aztec Legend" Yet another Neil Larsen melody.
The music is great and this is a bargain of a CD.
