About the Artist
Fariborz Lachini has a distinguished career as a composer in Iran and France. He has released more than 25 albums and has scored for more than 120 feature films and television series in the last 10 years and by far is one of Iran's most accomplished brilliant composer who is fluent in all genres. He started his professional career with writing music for children. The national theme of television children programming for more than two decades was one of his earlier works. He is also earned himself the recognition of the pioneer of using computer technology in music that revolutionized Iran's film industry. Most of the films he worked on were showcased internationally.

FANTASTIC piano.......2004-03-12

This albums contains some of the best pieces of piano i have ever heard. Lachini is one of the best Persian composers and this is his best album. He gives piano a very Persian sound but at the same time, it is appealing to everyone for whom i have played this album. It's great to listen to, and it's great to play. It's hard to choose a favourite piece for i really love all of them, but still i like Dance of Leaves, I remember, and Childhood particularly. Whirlwind in Autumn is another great piece that is very Persian in tone. i highly recommend this album to any one who likes piano pieces and/or enjoys playing the piano.

Ketelbey lights up my life with music.......2004-08-31

On 5/14/03 I bought Ketelbey's Piano Music, volume 1, and have considered buying volume 2 twice. I don't know much about Rosemary Tuck except she does an excellent job bringing out the music heard in company with silent films. I may get a CD that has In a Persian Market next. This is worth a listen now and again when the now needs a lift.
