A Journey to the Heart...Remember When?

Editorial Reviews

"Awesome jazz vocals. this lady sings with the true-root of jazz stylings. This CD a must."

Indie Music
"Gypsy's voice drenches the lyrics to "Cry me a River" and "Nobody Knows You When You're Down and Out" in delirious longing. On "Sophisticated Lady," she slyly shows the downside to the high life with her world-weary moan. Gypsy & Reno are not only great, they're unique. They deserve to be appreciated for that.

4 out of 5 stars i love this romantic album.......1999-11-21

i love hearing old jazz standards by new artists. gypsy has a very different torchy style that is suited for this material. she is emotional and romantic in her stylings. the music is very different in it's arrangements, yet, gypsy&reno stay true to the classic melodies. very excellent album. more?

4 out of 5 stars Smokey Vocals.......1999-11-20

" Reno has a slightly different M.O. to these standards. We also get our first taste of Gypsy's passionate and smokey vocals. She immediately shows that she can sing this type of material effectively. The keyboard arrangements are quite full and are buyoed by his stalwart piano playing. Gypsy gives a swanky interpretation of The Duke's Sophisticated Lady . It's a fine starting effort for a small label." Tom Topkoff ( Fallout Magazine)
