Alright,but..........2007-03-20
This album is actually pretty good. It's just it didn't include that many hits!Sure, all the songs on here are hits, but it really doesn't do Audio Adrenaline much justice. It barely featured songs from the debut-some kind of zombie period. It should have been 2 disks with debut-underdog on one and Lift-Until my heart caves in on the other. If I had been in charge of the making of this album it would have looked like this.
Disk 1
1 DC-10
2 My God
3 A.K.A public school
4 Big house
5 We're a band
6 Never gonna be as big as Jesus
7 I'm not the king

great christian band.......2006-10-26
it,s sad to see thesse go when i saw in high shcool i find about this in high school christian rock had been expected by people it,s pertty mainstream after years of bashing bands like petra and styper thosse guys were made fan by secluar music fans for being jesus freaks back then christian music had just gone modenzing it,s self petra in the 70,s a good thing by the 90,s people audio adrenaline was one the bands one besides jays of clay to made christian rock a part of mainstream it,s sad so today musicans don,t model after thesse guys this sylte music is petty good i am not a fan christian music or classic rock but Rush and PETRA got right today musicans care more about image than good a musican good is . I didn,t grow in the 70,s or 80,s i grow up in the 90,s but thesse guys got right also thesse guys are writers something today artists i mean my mom,s gen thought about my genration when they songs an they care about the order of music .
Awesome way to say "Adios".......2006-10-02
For me, I've never been really big on Audio Adrenaline. Most of the songs on their albums have been hit or miss so it was never worth it for me to own an album of theirs. Even their old greatest hits album didn't work for me, but not this one. This one's chunky. It has the best of the best of their songs (minus "Dirty" from Worldwide) and what better way can one say "Goodbye" while going out in a "Blaze of Glory"? I reccomend this cd to fans and "hit or miss" folk like myself.

Who said Christian bands can't rock & roll? One of the best releases in the late '90s, if not the decade, Audio Adrenaline's Bloom is laced with hard-driving grooves and riveting guitar licks. The opening "Secret," "I'm Not the King," and "Memoir" prove the former, while "Never Gonna Be as Big as Jesus," "Good People," and "Walk on Water" demonstrate the latter. And through it all, the band reminds us that they know a good melody when they hear one. The powerful presence of singer Mark Stuart is apparent throughout as he showcases his classic FM-radio rock voice, now an Audio Adrenaline signature. You'll also love the cover of Edgar Winter's "Free Ride," which never sounded so fresh. --Michael Lyttle
Customer Reviews:
AA Comes of Age!.......2006-10-20
"Bloom" is a quantum leap forward for AA. After two spotty albums the band had built a following; but this thrust them forward into the spotlight, and deservedly so. "Never Gonna Be As Big As Jesus" and "Walk On Water" are among my favorite Christian rock songs, and several other quality songs show the growth and maturity of the band - notably "Good People", "I'm Not The King" and "Man Of God". The biggest shortcoming of AA is when they try innovative covers of classic rock songs, and their cover of Edgar Winter's "Free Ride" is a confusing loopy ride; but the innovation is what makes AA who they are, and I wouldn't change them for anything.
Disappointing Disc.......2006-01-28
I am a huge rock music fan. I picked up this disc when it first came out in '96. I was drawn in because the band re-made the classic "Free Ride" by Edgar Winter. I thought that 70's influenced Christian music might be worth a try. Unfortunately, they did a terrible job of it; not only that, but the rest of the CD isn't much better. The production is absolutely painful to listen to and some of the lyrics are embarrassingly shallow. I know that the large majority of reviews for this CD are positive, but I really think that this is an awful CD. I don't want to come across as being against Christian music, I am just against bad music in general. If you are a fan of rock music, and you are looking for something from the mid-90's by Christian artists, you might want to try Third Day's self-titled debut, DC Talk's "Jesus Freak" or Rebecca St. James' "God."
One of the best Christian Rock albums ever.......2005-06-22
I saw Audio Adrenaline performed live while I was in college. "Bloom" is probably one of the most essential albums in Christian Rock. The best track on this CD is an Edgar Winter cover called "Free Ride." Perhaps the weakest track is "Jazz Odyssey." Highly recommended.

Christian Rock.......2005-03-03
Audio Adrenaline is perhaps the greatest Christian Rock band of our time. They were one of the original bands to kickoff the Christina Rock Craze and they still survive today. Two of my favorites on this album are "Never Gonna Be as Big as Jesus" and "I'm Not the King." There really isn't a bad song on this album. This has to be one of my favorite Christian albums.

Excellent Christian Rock.......2007-06-28
It is hard to go wrong with Audio Adrenaline. This CD is another fine example of that.
A great rockin' sound, positive lyrics, and Mark Stuart's unique vocals combine into an excellent album. There are a number of very good songs. Two of them are absolutely superb: Leaving Ninety-nine and Ocean Floor.
In addition to this album, I highly recommend their album 'Audios'. If you don't have any CD by Audio Adrenaline, I would recommend getting 'Audios' first. As it is a greatest hits album, it is total quality throughout.
Easily my favorite Audio A. album.......2006-02-04
This is one album that is best listened to as a whole; every song builds on the last and complements it so well. Of the 2 "Worldwide" tracks, I prefer "Two," but the song that made my jaw hit the ground was "Miracle." This is a simply beautiful song regarding the miracle of losing your prominence in this life and realizing that it's actually better that way. Very poignant song; a must-hear for anyone needing encouragement in their faith. "Church Punks" is another great one, asking Christian youth to stand up and be counted as one of His. Similarly, "Dirty" invites us to live our faith and not be afraid of getting dirty for Christ. I could go on like this for every song, but you get the idea. This album is very lyrically intricate and just fun to listen to, like all Audio A. albums. You can't get much better than this!
Great.......2005-11-08
These guys are proof that Christian bands can really rock. This album was my introduction to AA, and I'm very pleased with it. Although I haven't really taken a look at some of their other albums, I think I might. So if you're into rock at all, pick this one up. Not only do they sound great, but their lyrics always have a good message, which makes it all the more worthwhile. My favorites include both Worldwides, Leaving 99, and the Ocean Floor Remix. Rock on!!!!
Currently my favorite album.......2005-03-06
Every song on the CD is a hit. It's just an awesome CD. I listen over and over and never get bored.
My favorite song is "Start of Fire". I listen to this to get pumped up to RACE MOTOCROSS. It rocks.
I would proudly give this more stars if possible!!!!.......2005-03-03
Audio Adrenaline is one of my favorite bands ever...they have an awesome CD collection and put on one of the best live shows I have ever seen. I have seen them 6 times, and they are wonderful each time and their CDs are also wonderful. I own each one proudly and play them constantly.
This one is probably one of my favorite AA CD's. I get sucked into this CD the lyrics are wonderful and the music just helps to amplify the wonderful lyrics. It is a CD that you can shout with and sing with and feel great about singing your faith. It is a fun CD with passion and love build in. I just can't say enough good things about his CD. I just feel great each time I pop this CD in...it makes you feel good and raises your spirits. I love every song on this CD none of them are a favorite and non of them do I skip-they are all wonderful! I recommend this CD to any past AA fan and to anyone who likes great music should also own this CD it is a necessity for any music lover!

Having broken out of the shadow of DC Talk, Audio Adrenaline has truly evolved into a band locked into their own sound, and they shine like the sun on the band's fifth studio album. With Underdog, they maintain their humility through musical discipleship, but that doesn't preclude the band from having fun--their sound is now distilled to an infectious guitar and keyboard-sweetened rock with enough heaviness and soul to temper the tender sentiments rendered. The title cut, fuzzy, rhythmic rock & roll with rough edges, is one that'll get stuck in your head for days. "DC-10," long part of the band's repertoire, makes an appearance here, rockabilly-style. Jennifer Knapp's poignantly rendered guest vocals add just the right touch to the scratch-and-loop-laden treatment of the hymn "It Is Well with My Soul," and "Get Down" is a radio friendly gem that'll have listeners bouncing around like mad. --Paige La Grone

One of Christian Rock's All-Time Best.......2006-10-20
For those of you that read my other reviews, you'll find that 5 stars is a rare occurence for me. I do that because it is only once in a while that an album is simply a cut above all others being produced. "Underdog" is just that kind of album. Audio Adrenaline is a band that has always worked a variety of musical styles, with a consistent message of faith in Jesus Christ. But on this album, AA hits a pinnacle of performance in all of their divergent styles. Want classic rock? Here comes the title track. Catchy pop? You'll never get "Get Down" out of your head. Rockabilly? "DC-10" (a remake of their own song from their first album) is a tight, fun 50's romp. A call to mission? "Hands And Feet" is as compelling a call as you'll hear. Classic hymns? How about "It Is Well With My Soul"? And one of the most performed AA songs of all, the hilarious but wonderfully relevant "The Houseplant Song" gives people the ability to question how they're putting their faith into action while smiling the whole time. Quite simply, this is very close to being Christian rock's masterpiece, in the same category as DC Talk's "Jesus Freak", Jars of Clay's eponymous debut or Petra's "More Power To Ya". If you could only buy 5 Christian pop albums in your entire life, this really should be one of them.
a little too much the same........2006-05-24
This c.d is fairly good, but not great.I do like some of the songs, though.I like mighty good leader, underdog, get down and hands and feet. The rest of the songs are all pop or very soft rock.Iam still a big fan of aa's work!Don't get this c.d unless you are a die-hard fan.I would get don't censor me,bloom, zombie, hit parade or worldwide.thank you for reading this!
Outstanding!.......2006-05-08
If there is a better christian alternative rock album out there, I have yet to find it. The songs on this record are so well written and diverse. The songs not only have great melodies, but their words are powerful, convicting and very moving. This is some truely God-inspired music for a new, younger crowd.

So-so release from Audio A.......2006-06-30
Having been an Audio Adrenaline listener since the first release, I've seen them evolve from a really simplistic pop rock band to a more earthy, angsty alt-rock sound over the years and with that improve their lyrical content. This one, however, doesn't stand up alongside finer efforts like WORLDWIDE or UNDERDOG.
HIGHLIGHTS:
Slightly grungy rocker "I'm Alive" should probably have been the opener possessing nicely playful lyrics ("Sometimes I wake up feeling like I did back in L.A./But since I'm from Kentucky, that feeling musta been a mistake"). "Rejoice" is a crisp and snappy slice of pop that reminds me of RECKLESS era Bryan Adams and ballad "Speak to Me" is one of the more emotionally naked offerings from the group. "Summertime" takes the oft-covered ground of longing for heaven and uses the metaphor of a sundrenched idyll to give it a fresh spin. A raw demo for "Lonely Man" should have replaced one of the weaker cuts on the album proper.
LOWS:
Nothing here makes me outright shudder but several of them seem a bit shopworn...like the guys are trying to make the "sound" that will sell in Christian bookstores. "Tremble" in particular could be any of a dozen 'modern worship' bands. There's also an abundance of cliche lyrically. ("You Still Amaze Me",Christian radio hit "Beautiful" which appears here in a radio remix as well)
BOTTOM LINE:
Not bad but run of the mill. Don't make this the first release you buy from the band.
Pretty good, but I've heard better (esp. from them).......2006-02-04
I guess the 3-star rating is just in comparison to other Audio A. albums I prefer. Take that into consideration, because this album has some great songs on it! "Ocean Floor" and "Beautiful" are 2 of my favorite Audio A. songs ever, but I don't feel that the rest of the album is nearly as good.

I recommend this CD to any past AA fan and to anyone who likes great music should also own this CD it is a necessity for any music lover!
Some Lift is a great CD...it is no different than any other AA CD's as it is just as catchy and hook filled...and it is full out praise music. This CD is wonderful! I don't think I have disliked an AA CD, but this one is recommended as it is just as good as the others but some of the new CDs outshine the others...AA only keeps outdoing themselves! This is better than Bloom and so forth but the thing of it not one of their CDs is bad or even remotely terrible they are all great; the thing is they only get better! AA is an excellent band!
I love the song "Ocean Floor" that is one of my favorite songs on this CD but they are all great.
Slight dip in quality, but still excellent.......2004-02-22
In the middle of making 5 solid albums comes LIFT. The bands style was set with DON'T CENSOR ME, 1995. Then came the monster albums that are full of 3, 4 and 5 star songs BLOOM and SOME KIND OF ZOMBIE. These 5 star albums were followed by two 4 star albums UNDERDOG and LIFT. LIFT has a lot of 3 -good- and 4 -great- star songs with only one 5 -WOW!- star songs - Ocean Floor, a beautiful moderate rock song about the fact that, through Jesus our sins are forgiven and forgotten, they are there on the ocean floor.
One wonders what would happen after two 5 star albums, then two 4 star albums. Which way will it break with the next album? The next album is WORLDWIDE, and in my opinion, it is one of the great albums of any genre. Oddly enough, the best song on LIFT is also on WORLDWIDE.. Ocean Floor.
There is a lot to like about LIFT, but the must have albums are, in order of importance to me: HIT PARADE, WORLDWIDE, BLOOM and SOME KIND OF ZOMBIE. Music is food for the soul. Great Christian music from Audio Adrenalin is a huge feast for the soul because, in my opinion all their albums are 3 star or better, except one -the self titled one released in 1995.

When singer Mark Stuart proclaims that "I'm a warrior/With a warrior's heart/And it burns for you" on "Until My Heart Caves In," the title track of Audio Adrenaline's ninth studio release, you have to believe it. If not for the evident raw passion in his voice, Stuart and his band mates are known in their career for blistering live performances and a zeal to rock the house. And that enthusiasm carries over believably well on this album. Thanks to producer Jay Joyce (Patty Griffin, The Wallflowers, Iggy Pop, Macy Gray), Audio A has never sounded better from the studio. Tyler Burkum's guitars are the driving force behind tracks like the opening rave-up "Clap Your Hands" and the title track. Burkum's continuing development as a lead singer (remember the magnificent "Ocean Floor" from Lift?) also offers a more melodic approach with "Starting Over" and "Light of the Sun." Meanwhile, the band's playful spirit from earlier days remains and cannot be contained on the energetic bouncy cover of Otis Redding's "You're Love Keeps Lifting Me Higher." While Until My Heart Caves In may not produce immediate, sure-fire radio hits like the band's previous work, this release admirably offers a greater musical depth and sense of emotion uncaptured until now. Old fans and newcomers will find plenty to like here, so turn up the volume and let Audio A rock your world. --Michael Lyttle
Customer Reviews:
Best Audio A recording in years.......2006-04-07
The infectiousness of this CD really took me off-guard. I mean, I'm a loyal Audio A fan who buys all their CDs and have come to expect a certain level of excellence from them in every recording:
This CD took it to a whole new level.
Upon first listen, it was better than I expected. But on repeated listens, it just kept getting better! Each song is so addictively melodic that I practically get a different song from this CD stuck in my head every day. And I've had it for over 3 months now.
I found Worldwide (their previous CD) somewhat disappointing and formulaic. Too many pop/AC singles on it. But this disc delivers the goods, maintaining the difficult balance of melody and rock at all times.
I also want to mention how Tyler's vocals are really a highlight on this CD. I love Mark Stuart's gravelly vocals and always will, so in the past the "Tyler" songs were mostly radio-friendly pop tunes, which IMO were second-rate to the rockin' "Mark" songs. But this time Tyler amps it up vocally, and shows us he can belt out the rock vocals as authentically as Mark can. Way to go! I'm convinced.
I love this disc. Not a bad song on it.
Amazing CD form an Amazig band........2006-03-05
I'll admit it, 2 weeks ago I hated the thought of seeing adio adrenaline in concert with my church youth group. I like bands like Seether or knickleback...not this mess.
Then I went to a concert...now I own 1 of their cd's (this one) and am planing to see them in concert again this June.
This is a great CD, I have fallen in love with Audio A.

Polished and Heartfelt.......2006-02-19
Audio A is back, and while this cd has some great moments, it doesn't top "Worldwide". This disc has more of a worship feel to it and really reflects this band's maturity and longevity. "Clap Your Hands" kicks off this disc in true AA fashion and other stand outs are "Until My Heart Caves In" and "Starting Over". I particularly like their remake of "Your Love Keeps Lifting Me Higher"! This cd really shows off their excellent muscianship with the only real disappoinment being "King". The song itself is uplifting in its lyrics and delivery but falls victim to the same formula (structure and chord progression)that has driven the "worship song" format that has become all too popular lately. Worship songs are great, but some diversity is needed from all the "cookie cutter" songs hitting the airwaves. If you are new to AA, grab "Worldwide" and "Hit Parade". That's a solid start to this amazing band and their passionate ministry of music!
Another strong album from Audio A.......2006-02-13
I was sad to hear that Audio Adrenaline will be calling it quits in 2006, but at least they are still making great modern Christian music. Until My Heart Caves In is another strong album for them - loud and honest.
If you want to appreciate the full impact of this disc, I suggest you play it loudly, preferably on a big stereo. This album definitely has some great songs. The ones I like the most are:
1. King
2. Melody
3. Undefeated
4. Light of the World
5. Until my heart caves in
I have to admit that I do not like the remake of Your love is lifting me higher. I didn't care much for the original, so big surprise that Audio A's version doesn't do much for me either.
If you are an Audio A fan I highly suggest buying this CD. If you are not familiar with the band, but enjoy energetic, guitar driven Christian music then this one if for you also. Lastly, it was nice to see the band win a grammy this year. They deserve it for all the hard work they have put into the Christian music scene over the last several years. No one does it much better than these guys.
15 years and still got it!.......2006-02-04
Until My Heart Caves In is going to be the second to last Audio A. album, as the band is calling it quits after Adios in 2006. That said, they appear to be building up to something wonderful because this CD is fantastic! This album is very genuine; no cheese, no pomp or circumstance, just straightforward, honest rock. My personal favorite is the title track, though critics seem to be going nuts for "King." I also found their cover of "Your Love Keeps Lifting Me Higher" to be a unique take on an Otis Redding classic. Overall, very nicely done, and I for one will miss these guys terribly.

My Favorite AA album.......2006-10-28
This is without a doubt my favorite Audio A album. I remember buying this one the day it hit stores many years ago (wow it seems like yesterday). Anyway this is one of Audio Adrenaline's harder rockin album and is the main reason why I like it so much. With classic songs like "Blitz" (a song with another great band The O.C. Supertones), "Chevette", "People Like Me", "New Body", and my favorite Audio Adrenaline song "Some Kind Of Zombie". This is a great album by a great band. 5 stars all the way through it just pop it in you won't skip a single song they are all that good. I highly recommend this album to anyone. You want to hear some great christian rock or just great music you'll want to buy this album. Buy it today you won't regret it.
A move to a harder style.......2006-10-20
AA moves forward again with this CD, rocking harder than they had on previous disks. On many of the songs on "Some Kind Of Zombie", the band moves to a more modern rock sound, whereas its predecessor, "Bloom", tended to embrace more of a classic rock sound. "Chevette" and "Lighthouse" are excellent modern rock sounds, and "Blitz" imports the O.C. Supertones to give the song an injection of party appeal. The band also still has great pop sensibilities with the simple but catchy "People Like Me" and the intellectual "Original Species". And the title track is as hard as AA has ever rocked, with a catchy riff and chanting chorus placed against Mark Stuart's strong lead vocal. This album is also a preview of the budding diversity of styles that AA would showcase on its next release, "Underdog". It's probably somewhere between a 3 and 4 star performance, but considering this album represents the bridge between two sensational albums, I have to believe that the band needed to make this album exactly as they did and for that reason, the album gets four joyous stars.
Non-depressing music for people who like contemporary Xtian........2006-01-04
The songs show an underlying energy supporting the music. The lyrics aren't depressing, they aren't "You are not good enough", "You're a sinner and you should suffer into my graces..."'
These are life-experience songs...Little songs, unimportant on a larger scale, but interesting and helpful. Songs that tell the thoughts, the dreams, the reactions that anyone could have, to what goes on in their lives, around them. These aren't stories of Big Heros, who are so large, powerful, and far away that the listener loses perspective... they are little stories, where the listener is the same size as the hero, and the fantastic exploits are thinks that you can do everyday once your head is in the right place.
I feel that the music is kind of a blend of grunge, garage, pop rock, easy listening -- all put into a blender, set on chop, and the best chunkly bits fished out and fitted together in a agreeable way.
Song about a older car - something a pastor could afford, which puns and ploy points, and the story rising with the music.
Pop-funk-techno song about being free of our bodies.
Song comparing how different it is to have something to believe in surrouned by those who don't... surrounded by zombies.
Dedication to a creative creator from an original species.
How people are different, and how much the same.
Fast paced song about a missions trip to MX.
Dedication to traveling, singing, playing gigs, for what you live and believe in.
About how everyone has a "God shaped hole" that they can fill.
I LOVE THIS C.D.!!!!!!.......2005-03-28

Toned Down Dissapointment!.......2007-05-28
Ok, so this CD isn't all bad. The lyrics preach a message, some of the songs stick in your head for a long time, and the production is passable. What is bad about this CD is the complete lack of interest it inspires in the listener. I listened to this a couple times the first day I got it, and then... Well, I haven't pulled it from my shelf again since. I guess the main problem with the CD is how toned down it feels. You basically have to blast the CD to get any actual "Adrenaline" from it, and even then it feels like quiet rock turned loud. Basically these guys talk most of the songs, and solo on guitar for minutes at a time, leaving an empty feeling, and odd taste in my mouth.
???
Reasonable - But Not Their Best.......2006-10-20
This is Audio Adrenaline's second studio album. The band was still searching for a style at this stage of the game, and the album remains somewhat uneven. Having said that, the band does challenge the views of faith on songs like "Scum Sweetheart" and "Jesus and the California Kid". The songs "My World View" (featuring Kevin Max Smith of DC Talk) and "Don't Censor Me" are excellent indicators of the outstanding band AA would become, and "Big House" remains a benchmark of Christian pop/rock. Overall, though, anyone wanting to find out more about AA should start with "Underdog" or "Bloom".
Great sound and message - geared to young people.......2006-09-12
I find this CD to be good for anyone who wants to hear pop-rock with good lyrics.
In particular, I think this Audio Adrenaline recording speaks to kids/teens with songs such as Can't Take God Away, A.K.A. Public School, My World View, Big House, Don't Censor Me.
These bring good messages to young people when so much music is littered with destructive lyrics. Go pick one up for yourself (or your kids).
A good variety of songs.......2006-04-01
I really like this album because of the variety of the types of songs. Audio Adrenaline tries different types of sounds, not just stick to one kind of beat. I absolutely love this album, and the songs are cool. I especially like the guitar in the songs, especially in the song "Big House."
The CD starts off with "Can't Take God Away," which is an upbeat, uplifting song about no matter how much the world tries to take God away from us, it's just not possible. The rest of the songs are just as good, and my favorites are "A.K.A. Public School," "Jesus and the California Kid," and "We're a Band." Some of the songs have a bit of rap in them, but it's not throughout the whole song, and they have a good balance, so you can't really say that their songs are rap.
Another good thing about Audio Adrenaline is that their songs don't have expletive lyrics. Audio Adrenaline sounds like a lot of secular rock bands, except instead of the dirty lyrics that some recent songs have, they sing clean, uplifting songs. I really enjoy listening to these songs, and if you like rock music, you would probably like them too. ;)
you can't shut me up!.......2005-04-17
this is when audio a. was fresh. i have to admit this is NOT one of my favorite audio adrenaline c.d.s. this is too much for me ,i have to admit. i still think audio adrenaline is still cool, though. buy this if you want some old school aa style!

Looking for a great CD to show to those who say Christian bands can't rock? Well, you've come to the right spot. For nearly a decade, Audio Adrenaline have been living proof that some Jesus freaks can indeed rock. Seventeen tracks, including two new ones (the blitzkrieg anthem "Will Not Fade" and "One Like You"), chronicle the group's electric and insightful rock & roll. The more accessible pop gems like "Get Down," "Walk on Water," and "Never Gonna Be as Big as Jesus" are balanced by wall-of-guitar slams like "I'm Not the King" and "Some Kind of Zombie." Fans and newcomers alike will also enjoy the rockabilly raver "DC-10." Like most Forefront artists, Audio Adrenaline have pushed the borders of today's Christian rock with their creative and energetic brand of music. --Michael Lyttle

Great Christian Rock!.......2007-05-15
I saw Audio Adrenaline in concert and enjoyed them enough to buy a CD. I also bought CDs for Mercy Me and Casting Crowns. This Audio Adrenaline Hit Parade is my favorite of the three! The music is varied enough to keep your interest. In other words, they don't all sound alike. Good stuff.
High Energy Christian Rock.......2005-09-06
This is a great collection by Audio Adrenaline. It is a CD that really rocks. There are a couple of mellower songs also.
Several of the songs have very good Christian lyrics. Some of the songs are really excellent and very catchy. I particularly like the following: 'Big House,' 'Hands and Feet', 'Man of God', and 'Underdog'.
If you like high energy rock with good Christian messages, this is a good choice.
Blown Away!.......2005-07-16
I bought this CD reluctantly (yes, I'm a music snob) and man, was I blown AWAY! These guys know how to ROCK! Not only that, but their strong faith comes through loud and clear. Fantastic music - I keep a copy of this CD in my car, and another copy at my office. If you're looking for a CD that will make you want to rock out, sing loud, dance AND praise God, then look no further, my friend.
Keep it up, Audio-A!
this has to be one of the best!!!!!!!!!.......2005-04-13
this is the type of c.d. that kinda justs finds it own way into popularity. it just gets you bang'n yo head.the only problem is :WHERE IS THE HOUSEPLANT?! BUY THIS
Actually, 7 1/2 STARS!! Finally - a joyful noise!!.......2005-03-24
This collection is absolutely ROCKIN'! You want a great message delivered in a way that will course through veins and very being? This is IT! Song after song of high energy, respectful Christian rock that just, well, ROCKS. "I am not the King" will lift you to new, previously unknown levels of energy and belief, "Chevette," I'm ashamed to admit for personal reasons - really hits home, "Get Down" does, "Some Kind of Zombie" is a real thumb in the eye of the Faith's critics, "Hands and Feet" will capture you in spite of yourself, "DC-10" is just plain fun and "Never Gonna Be as Big as Jesus," well... won't; but it's still a great song.
You want Rock with your Religion? Beat with your belief? Head-banging with your Heart-healing? Don't hesitate: This is the CD for you.

A c.d from a long time ago........2007-03-20
This album particularly is not one of my favorites put out by Audio Adrenaline.Sure,it has the occasional good song here and there, but, let's face it,this is basically trash. The lyrics are WAY too corny.(Ex.My God died on the cross, not at McDonalds!)See what I mean? Now,I'm a HUGE Audio Adrenaline fan,and I use their music as a witness, but I just didn't like this album. The early 90's rap, rock sound DOES not impress me.I hope you found this review helpful, and I recommend anything else by Audio adrenaline. Thanks for reading this!
Different from the rest........2004-02-22
According to Amazon.com release dates within 30 days of each other Audio adrenalin released two different albums. DON'T CENSOR ME -DCM- was first followed by the self titled album AUDIO ADRENALIN -AA-. They are both of a different style. DCM is more of a pop rock style, while with AA they seemed to try a rap-rock combo that I for one am glad they abandoned.
In reality AA was released in 1992 according to other sources and DCM was their second album, released in 1993.
What does it say when the band released their greatest hits, to date, with HIT PARADE in 2001 they included only one song, DC-10 from AA. And this song was redone and put on their later album UNDERDOG. Funny that a song I rate a 2 on a 5 scale appears on 3 of their albums.. must be a story there!?
I recommend the AA album only for collectors because if you love Bloom, Lift, Some Kind of Zombie and Worldwide, you will probably not care for it. This album is a very different style from what will come. Listen to Amazons clips and decide for yourself if you like the style that the band abandoned.
Praise the Lord that the group made the DCM album. I like it much better, and there may have never been a third album without DCM. For the penny wise I recommend getting HIT PARADE instead. You'll want to save your money and buy all 4 albums that follow, they are all outstanding, with WORLDWIDE one of my favorite albums of any genre. At this writing some of my favorite albums of all time include Led Zeppelin's first, Skillet's INVINCIBLE, Newsboys SHINE THE HITS and Audio Adrenalin's WORLDWIDE.
An Absolute Classic- Audio A's best cd by far........2002-05-27
If you are a Christian and always wanted a cd to help you get back on the right with Jesus, this cd may be for you. Musically, it is the most diverse Audio Adrenaline cd ever(and probably will ever be) with everything from the funky bass lines of "J.E.S.U.S. Is Right" to the techno-oriented "Revolution" to the speed-metal of "DC-10". There is even a gospel choir that comes out of nowhere on "My God." The guitar riffs of Audio A's original guitarist Barry Blair add to the spontaneity of the music. The lyrics of songs such as "Audio World" talk about Christians' reluctance to speak the good news about Jesus despite a secular society that speak up more about their own beliefs that are void of Jesus. "The Most Excellent Way" speaks about the importance of loving other people despite how difficult this is at times. "Life" talks about how hard life is in general and how is it made easier if the love of Jesus is in one's heart. Yes, this cd really does demonstrate Audio A's love of Jesus. It has a "garage" feel to it and has remained a favorite cd of mine since I bought it two years ago. A definite must buy!

Great, original Audio A!.......2002-02-02
This album is great for a long-time audio a fan, or a fan of hard Christian music. Sure, it's not my favorite Audio A album, but it definitely deserves at least 4 and a half stars (maybe not five, but i round up). (Note: Being a long-time Audio A fan contributes to my rating. If I'd never heard them before, I'd probably give them a three. But the more I hear it, the better it sounds!)
