Customer Reviews:
Vic at his best!.......2005-07-21
I simply adore this CD! My first encounter with Vic Damone was years ago when I watched "An Affair to Remember" for the first time. From the moment I heard the theme song, I was hooked. This album shows off the best of what Vic has to offer with the perfect mixture of upbeat and slower-tempo songs. The first half is from "On The Street Where You Live," a collection of Broadway hits. These are anything but the hokey renditions that so many artists are guilty of. The selections are tasteful and are also classy arrangements that really show off his vocals. The next half of the CD, "The Liveliest," is recorded live from a show he did in New York. I'm a teetotaler myself, but "The Liveliest" puts me in the mood to order a martini! Even if you're sitting in your living room in your pajamas, you'll feel like you're in the swankiest, swingingest joint in town. Order this CD without delay, and enjoy!
