Great Introduction to the Women of Jazz.......2004-06-05

I was looking for smooth dinner party music when i happened upon this CD. This is a great collection, a broad sampling of great ladies of Jazz. Ella, Sarah, Dinah and Carmen are here with their creative energetic interpretations of classics from the 40s and 50s. I am still wondering how Natalie Cole made the cut, i think Lena Horne would have been a better selection. Nonetheless, this is a smooth, melodic multivoice addition for the classic jazz collector.
