Movin' With Nancy [Soundtrack]

Editorial Reviews
Album Description
Taking on the Top 40, twang and Tin Pan Alley, our favorite blonde was comfy beyond the confines of her trademark kitten-with-a-whip Lee Hazlewood collaborations. Sundazed lovingly fusses over Nancy's catalog with meticulous restoration. This release includes the bonus tracks 'Drummer Man', 'I Love Them All (The Boys In The Band) ' and 'Good Time Girl'.

3 out of 5 stars Old Time Fun.......2007-05-15

I enjoyed this album when I was young. If you were expecting it to be a greatest hits special this album is not for you. The special on which the album is based was meant to establish Nancy's star power. She did not live up to the talent her father was. One of the standout tracks was her version of the Johnny, June Carter Cash duet of Jackson with friend Lee Hazelwood, who recently died. Enjoy it for what it is a singer trying to establish her career with the help of her Dad and Friends.

4 out of 5 stars Missing a great intro..........2007-02-06

Love the movie/DVD... kinda like the CD -- except it's missing the wonderfully ambient intro to 'This Town'. I wish they'd have spared us the lame bonus tracks and used the complete version. A minor quibble I know, but still...

4 out of 5 stars IT ALWAYS MOVES ME........2006-08-20

It brings back great memories from the days when Nancy was the most sultry, exciting performer on the planet and anything was possible. The technical and musical achievements of the album pale in comparison to the impact Nancy had on the scene during that time. Listen, remember and enjoy.

5 out of 5 stars It's A Mad, Mad, Mad Cola.......2004-08-06

The Soundtrack to Nancy Sinatra's 1967 T.V. Special. The show was sponsored by the Mad, Mad, Mad Cola - RC Cola. This is her best CD. Buy the DVD of the T.V. special - The best retro 60's show - Nancy kicks ass!

4 out of 5 stars I'm gonna open up your gate.......2004-07-10

This is the soundtrack to Nancy Sinatra's first television special. It is actually one of Nancy's best albums, arguably the very best. There is not a weak track here. The Lee Hazlewood production is terrific, and Nancy never sounded better. Speaking of Hazlewood, Nancy and Lee sing two of their legendary duets here. There is also a fun duet with Dean Martin. One track here doesn't feature Nancy at all. "Younger Than Springtime" is sung by Frank Sinatra, and of course it's very good. Three bonus tracks are included here. They are all flop singles that Nancy recorded after she stopped working with Lee Hazlewood. I want to make special mention of "I Love Them All(The Boys in the Band)", which is sung from the point of view of a groupie. Recommended to all Nancy's fans.
