In 1956, crooner Don Cherry hit #4 on the Billboard Pop Singles Chart with "Band Of Gold," which featured an arrangement by Ray Coniff done at the request of Mitch Miller. These two original albums are two that Cherry recorded for the Monument label in the late 1960s. Cherry was also a top-ranked amateur golfer who turned pro in 1962 - he played in the Masters nine times, the U.S. Open eight times and the Walker Cup three times.

Full Title - There Goes My Everything / Take A Message To Mary. Wichita Falls, Texas native Pop vocalist Don Cherry began his music career as lead singer in the Jan Garber Band. Don Cherry's polished vocal delivery garnered him a recording contract with Monument Records in the 1950s. A nightclub and variety television star, Don Cherry performed on The Mike Douglas Show, The Merv Griffin Show, The Johnny Carson Show and The Grand Ole Opry, where he proved to be an audience favorite. Stand-out tracks include 'Love Me With All Your Heart,' 'Take A Message To Mary' and 'Lucky Old Sun.' 23 tracks in all. Collectables. 2003.
