Childhood memories.......2005-08-17
My parents must have had this recording when I was (at the most) about 6 years old. I remembered the voice and words for most of the songs on this recording...loved it, but was never able to find the name of the singer or the album till now. Thank you WFUV and Rich Conaty! Never thought I'd ever be able to find it, but did. All the memories came pouring back and it sounds as good as I remembored. Gertrude Nieson had a wonderful voice and phrasing, and the songs are timeless. What luck that I've finally been able to find and order such a treasure.
